8k+ would be a better consumer release than an 8kX for consumers.
Because, the input resolution of 3840 pixels per screen is too much for any modern gpu to push and more data than one cable can carry.
The solution is to use either a 1440p per eye display (as in the 5k+ and 8k) upscaled to 4k (like the 8k does), but with 3 subpixels per pixel instead of 2 with full rgb stripe versus pentile, the sharpness should increase and ghosting and blurriness should decrease as seen in the 8k, due to the increased pixel density from the full rgb stripe like the 5k+ uses, versus the pentile strip on the 8k.
However, the image clarity and gpu performance may be improved further if the input/screen resolution before upscaling is 1080p instead of 1440p, being one quarter of a 4k image it will upscale better without distortions compared to a 1440p signal, which is not 1/1 with a native 4k image when upscaled.

Can Pimax test the abovementioned input resolutions upscaled with different screens with 3 subpixels per pixel on a future consumer 8k+?

I just want to know when will we be given the option to switch our order to the 5k+ and how will this be done? I never seem to get very many updates in my email so I haven’t been able to keep up to date with what goes on.
You get the option to change the 5k+ when they tell you(via an email) they are about to ship yours. Which as of now is still somewhere below backer nr 1000.

- We can make 802, 902 work, but would be too demanding. Considering the current graphics cards, we are fine tuning 65*2.

VR frame = the VR glasses frame
We will open gamma tuning options for users.
cold tone for now, we can release a new pitool version with the option to change to warm tone. We believe there are rooms for tuning with enough time.
