New Pitool 1.0.1.180 is available now from Pimax

Thanks. never had a problem with my motion rig and VR, the only one thing to fix is a little excessive movement. Really curious to know something more about it!

@anon74848233 @Heliosurge. I’m attempting to fix the title, but seeing the filename is:
http://pisetup.pimaxvr.com/PiToolSetup_1.0.1.180 I’m not actually sure if its 1.0.180/1.0.1.80/1.0.1.180

Update: Ok, going by the filename and that the last v was .1.144.
Should now be fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

I was in project cars 2 last night (with parallel projection on) and couldn’t get it to go above 60 on a 2080 ti with only 70% GPU util and the msi afterburner trick didn’t work either so happy that this might help (and will look into not using PP either.

And… So happy for the motion compensation as I’ve treated myself to a feel three motion rig and it definitely needs compensation

they are a lot cheaper than other options if anyone is interested…

It’s probably really simple to fix it, but they just don’t care about!

Hold up, you do? ?

Just tried 180 with Nolo. Still refresh rate very low for positionning but less lost of position (like rotation of 90° horizontally) than 144n 129 is still better.
In Beat saber it kind of work, but Pavlov VR is not seeing the controlelrs at all.
So this version is not yet made for Nolo compatibility.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but when I start games from PiTool Steam VR still starts up in order to the play the game right? Or am I missing a different way to start games?

Thanks!

I get around 94% of GPU usage on Pcars 2 but the frame rate is far lower for the same picture quality…

Good to see frequent updates, but the bug from last update where smart smoothing would only apply to the main program and not injected stuff like fpsVR is still there.
Also the smart smooting ā€˜guessing’ has gotten a lot worse in the VR home. Not sure if it’s the same for other applications.

Are pure blacks on OLED screens (5k+ XR) enabled in this driver?

@anon74848233 Are there Any plans to make or enable a safety grid for Oculus games launched form PI tool? it can be a bit dangerous to play without it some times!!

I’m waiting for that too!

It’s not been mentioned here but there was talk of 3 levels in the settings so can’t waiting for that.

Pimax USA mentioned higher up that it’s not quite ready yet but hopefully soon for your sake!

I saw, thanks, I just wanted to give it a try because there was significant differences between 129, 132 and 144, in the wrong direction but differences. So here I get the status for the devs as I see there is again regression with Pavlov VR loosing compatibility, meaning they did something that had an bad impact with Nolo in this build.
It’s a shame I have to have 180 for sims (IL2) and seated games to have all the improvments and I have to uninstall it and install 129 to be able to play with nolo controllers in stand up games like Pavlov or beat saber…

Oh  I thought it was an new type of reprojection :sunny:

Why are you using nolo? There’s zero wait time to get valve knuckles and 2.0 base stations now.

Hi,
had a strange experience with Pitool 1.0.1.180 and X-Plane 11. It seemed like a tracking issue. Whenever I moved my head from a standstill to look around, the entire picture had a microstutter before a smooth movement took place. Could I be doing something wrong?
Reverted back to Pitool 1.0.1.144 and the problem went away.
