New Pitool 1.0.1.180 is available now from Pimax

Has anyone tried Vader Immortal with this Beta?

Very exciting news, and the ā€œmotion compensationā€ sounds interesting (haven’t heard about it before). Is that an addition to brainwarp/smart smoothing?

Indeed, I have requested this when chatting with the team not long ago and I would expect it will be added in a future release

I am very curious how DCS will work now. I hope that smart smoothing will not get worse, and if it improves it will be wonderful  Someone has already checked?

Thanks Pimax. @anon74848233 Friendly comment to point out a typo - your Title to the thread appears to be wrong. You might want to update it to 1.0.1.180 rather than 1.0.180 as you currently have. Thought it will help avoid confusion on the numbering for people again

Hi @anon74848233 ! Have you guys done any testing with the vrfree gloves and driver4vr leap motion driver?

There were some sort of incompatibility issues with the previois versions of pitool and the pimax 8k headseat firmware.

Thanks!

Do anyone know, how to fix that transparent appearance of the PiTool?? I had never something like that with any other Windows Application before and I already wrote to the support and they only answered that the reason would be, that something with my Windows is wrong! But no application have this transparency effect! It is annoying and makes it partly unusable!!

Yes, turn off FXAA in the Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings. Restart pc and voila.

I now cant save the 72HZ refresh rate. It saves when I click it but if you quit and reload the PItool it goes back to 90hz. Can anyone else confirm this problem ?

I notice that if vive wand is connected during a session then my knuckles bindings will not work correctly until I restart Pitool Service. Is it fixed?

And activate it always again for gaming? Obit not for VR-gaming?? Why they do that? Are they not able to program it correctly??
Why can’t they write this program differently?? All other programmers/companies seem to be able to do. I never had such a experience with any other software. Never.

Homepage is not updated:

It doesn’t work in VR anyway it seems (when enabled via Nvidia control panel). It also adds a horrible blur even if it does reduce shimmering due to aliasing a little. Personally I have it turned off and either use ā€œrealā€ anti aliasing in game settings or just supersample to higher resolutions. Not sure why it affects pitool by making it transparent whenever FXAA is enabled but it does, @anon74848233 maybe there is a simple fix for this, worth relaying the feedback to the technical team but I suppose it’s not a priority really.

Excellent. Some great new features. Thanks for listening to the community!

There have been some fantastic developments recently in Pitool. It’s a lot more stable. I’m very impressed.

Edited post, realised the new version has the ability to pair trackers etc on install, excellent. Thanks. Double edit. Current version does not allow more than two controllers, nullifying the ability to convert Vive Wands to trackers for NatLo etc. Please can you fix for next release?

Motion compensation is for full motion sim rigs.

On pcars 2 (without parallel projections), upgrading from pitools 141 to 180, framerate jumped from 62 fps to 90 … Otherwise gpu is still around 60%…
EDIT : i don’t get the same image quality with the same settings, i need to try higher pitool setting

I have a 4dof motion, how motion compensation will work? Seems very interesting

Just so you know guys Avast Virus protection is picking this file up as a virus and wouldn’t let me run it until I tinkered with some settings. I’ve reported it as clean to them.

I’m not sure exactly how it works. But there was a big thread about it not working previously and throwing off someone who had a large sim rig.
