All Im saying is that I prefer the 5K+ but the 8K has some advantages in specific games or especially sims. But if I had to pick one I would pick 5K+ for general usage.
But I will stick with one of each, as I pledged for 2 anyway

I remember that some people ask about adult video in live youtube, and I listen that 5k+ because of clarity and I am surprised. But may I miss some info and I wtill watch again.
In my opinion I think we should use 8k for porn vr because although the 8k donât have clarity like 5k+, but I think 4k or 5k video is great enough and then we donât want to see the sde on the picture.
Because PC2 is unplayable on 1080Ti with necessary PiTool 1.5 value for 8K, while it looks quite good on 1.0 with 5K and runs much better.

But assuming they both run fine (youâre getting 2080ti), youâre playing with 8K, right? Low SDE?
By the way, why is the video of Project Car for the 8K in your review looks dark? Is that your camera or is it supposed to be that way? Itâs just dark compare to 5K+. It seems to me like 8K needs more lights.

If this issue can solve by next generation of gpu, you will change the answer for project car?
I am thinking to choose 8k because I am seriously with quality of image more than game play and I think that the fps can fix by next gpu.
But I am worried that, although I use next generation of card but we will never get image quality like 5k+.
Sometimes we can invest the gpu for the long term, but we only want to sure that it is great to invest for better quality of image.
This is about future plan which we want to know from pimax too.

You earlier declared the left picture as 8k, and the right as 5k+, arguing that the left had better definition.
I explained why I thought the right hand picture had better definition, and allows you to see distant detail better, to which you responded âExactlyâ, which goes contrary to the above.
âŚso either you changed your mind at the turn of a hand, or you misrepresented which picture was which, as a trap, which would correspond with the colour temperature of the pictures, given what weâve seen in earlier photos, although if weâre that far down the rabbit hole, thereâd be no reason why that, too, couldnât be doctored.

He said he prefers the clarity vs the definition. But also like me he backed 2 headsets. Just initially 2 8k. Where as I 1 8k & 1 5k.
As @reptilexcq said one of the big problems is too many zoomed pics. As Sweviver said as well. Both are great but like in art some prefer A & some B.
For a person doing modeling & picture editing Native Res is likely more important. But it sounds like both headsets need some display calibration on color temp(prefer multi options cool to warm slider with temp numbers)
Essentially more advance display options like in standard monitors. If doable if course for users to change more display preferences.

Apparently I misunderstood your post hehe⌠I though u said u see the definition on the 8K.
But no definition is not that important and thats why I will still go with 5K+ with or without RTX. Its just the clarity I want in games.
But having that said I know some people will prefer the 8K definition and more details at distance, no doubt. I see the potential. Im not limiting my opinions to only what I would prefer the most. There are a lot of simmers out there that will for sure apprecaite the 8K more, and thats why Im pointing out my observations.

Thatâs a good investment, since theyâll soon sell at 3x the price. After the new explanation people will realize that the Pimax 8k is a HMD with really sharp, crispy panels which can show much more detail so the price should clearly go up now.

Iâd say it depends on the sim. Car Racing doesnât necessarily have an edge as how far do you really need to see?
But War Sims & flight might be different due to speed of travel & potenially recognizing easier a blob taking shape quicker due to more pixels vs the 5k+.

I think itâs hard to understand that 8K has more details if you zoom in the picture and compare with 5K+âŚthatâs when people donât understand that reality. But if you zoom out maybe, itâs better to understand thingsâŚand I can see that if you zoom out from the 8K headset, surely itâs better to watch movie with less SDE despite something not so clear but your eyes will fill in and make up the missing clarity.
