@SweViver Can you explain more about word “definition” of 8k, I still not understand too much, when I translate, sometime it mean sharpness.

So I am confused between “definition” and “clarity”. Do you mean something like “details” or anything?

Thank you.

Thanks for explaining it man. I owe you. I now understand the difference between 2 and 3 subpixels (and that 3 is more than 2, never really got that), a HD and 4k TV and a bluray and DVD player. I would never have learned so much in 1 night without you. You really are a tech enigma.

Which one looks more high definition to you?

Think of a poop. Inside the poop there is all kind of “THINGS” but you can’t see it because it’s blurred out or mushy. But Dr. 5K+ can see it because he got a magnify glasses. However, he can’t see all the definition because it’s magnified.

I am still not sure, but I will try.

The first image I can see the white color on the red light from right image and it has more sharpness.
The second image the left image has white color too.

What is 8k and 5k+ in those image?
I think left is 8k becasue I notice from sde.

More definition on 8K but look at those bees though lol. They’re all over the cars. I can’t see through them!!

Thanks to the high definition of the 8k you can now clearly see that the car is very dirty. I missed all those dark spots on the 5k image.

Then we have different perception on what definition is
But no worries, we are all different hehe!

Yeah but then again you dont see those pixels unless you take a 10+Mpix picture and crop it to infinity

The problem with the 8K is not the SDE.

Is that to say that you are bait and switching?

Hehe, sweviver now going for the 8k? Interesting development

So does that change your preference? I’m sure they will keep making improvements. The real test will be when you get your 2080ti

If SweViver go back to 8K, he will get a FREE life time upgrade from Pimax. Think about that for a second. Sweet?

Sorry I dont get it?

Oh no. Im still changing one of my pledges for 5K+

But all I mean is that all this pixel peeking is getting out of hands now.

People look at 100x zoomed images and have no idea how it really looks in the headset.
What camera sees is not always what you see.

I still prefer the clarity of 5K+, but the 8K is really not bad at all, as some people in here is trying to make it sound

Well you’re now kind of selling it like the 8k is really the best. So we’re wondering if you’re now going for the 8k.

I am sure you will get it if you get a FREE life time upgrade from Pimax. You’ll be jumping up and dancing already lol.

He thinks your shifting tour preference like sj does. You’ve clearly said ypu prefer the 5k+ overall but do see it’s potenial & increased pixel density & thus softer but in far fsr details more complete vs more vague less filled shapes.

I never expect anything for free…

That’s one of the problem with the review. You show too much zoom in pictures!!! In fact, almost all of them are zoomed in…making people think that’s the reality.

Well I was just wondering, if somebody is SO happy with the visual quality of the 8k, why would he get a 5k+
