I ordered my index controllers on the 21st but I have not received email for tracking. Purchased on steam. Wow you got a quick email.

@Zappa72 yea pretty excited to receive the index controllers I ordered on the 22nd, but like you I have no shipped/tracking email, just a confirmation of a backlog of orders. Thank you Alyx :money_mouth_face::nauseated_face::japanese_goblin: lol.

That’s ok, I’m older…we never had these kinds of tech toys growing up so we’re forgiven for our impatience.

What if it is a form of locomotion? Maybe grabbing on wall corners or some covers in HL:Alyx works like climbing in certain games that will move your entire view. Have some weight to it like boneworks so it feels less shaky. I think it will work well.

For climbing I understand, but for leaning sideway … there is no point.
It was more probably a way to give the feeling the player was in this virtual world.

Trailers are made to give us to incentive to buy the product, so you want to embellish the bride. That’s how it works, and I have nothing against it, but I’m just curious about how the game really is when playing.

But as I said, thanks to purchasing the Index controllers, I will get the game so I would be able to judge by myself without adding any cents >__<

Well it helps to cover more movement in limited playspace and makes it easier to peek around corner. I think it is a more immerse way to move around than just use the joystick all the time. In Lone echo it works very well. Maybe Valve can make it work on solid ground.

My Steam order page just updated…the controllers I order on the 22nd have finally shipped! Hyped for next week :+1::beer:

More than a week has passed, have they said anything about this?

I guess they will be quiet about it forever.

Received my valve controllers friday last.
It took roughly 3 days from order to delivery ! Well done Valve !

Even though it may take a few extra days to reach Canadian customers (for whatever the reason) I am still very happy and relieved to be receiving a peripheral that supports our headsets. Compared to Pimax schedule of release this is jaw dropping pass-me-a-beaverage lightning delivery lol.

hey @jTeller Can you tell me if the official valve lighthouses and controllers work fine with the Pimax 5k+ ? I might order them in January to test my HMD and make sure it is not defective before the warranty ends. Thanks!

they will work just as good…

When I get the valve controllers within a week I suspect I will post a compatibility update soon thereafter. As far as valve lighthouses I’m waiting for Pimax to deliver on original KS packages instead of their “upgrade deals”. There are others here who already have the valve controllers so you might want to ask around.
