Boarderland 2 VR for pc

Wow, that is, you confirm that the updated BL2 VR works fine on Pimax? Wonderful

I tried the new version with 8K.
Yes, with the scale of the world now everything is in order without Revive.
But, I noticed one significant minus - I have the feeling of a 3rd eye, something is interfering between the eyes. There was no such minus with Revive. (Maybe I got such a crooked version, I don’t know)

If the minimap is too narrrow then you have the same problem with PP. The various pop-up windows should be much wider and easier to read.

There really is a problem with PP. If it works correctly sometime you will see a big difference.

On the updated version of BL2 VR without Revive, the minimap is wider and already useful.

Do you now see a difference in the SteamVR dashboard, especially the texts at the bottom?

On SteamVR, I don’t see any difference at all. Everything is as usual there, if you mean this:

No, I mean the text on the round buttons for switching tabs such as ā€˜Steam’, ā€˜Desktop’, ā€˜Settings’ when you open the dashboard in VR.

I just started up the updated version of the game without Revive and it is broken, all windows too narrow. I also get the eye problem so I will stick to Revive for the moment. I am sure that the PP problem has nothing to do with Revive.

Well, there, too, everything is fine with me. I did not notice any problems.
Then I’ll check it again when I get together in VR.

You can read the buttons, only the letters are slightly blurred if PP is not working correctly and then you get the problems in Borderlands in my experience.

I made a comparison through the lens, but did not notice any global differences

If you look closely at the letters you can see that the right ones are a bit brighter and have more clarity however that seems normal.

Have you restarted SteamVR since you last started the game and if so and you start Borderlands now is the minimap correct or not?

If you start the game and the windows are too narrow and the minimap is not correct then look at the buttons in the dashboard and see if you notice a difference.

Im going to try adding HD texture pack via panckake version of ebay £6 steam key

HD Texture pack from BL2 Flat game :: Borderlands 2 VR General Discussions

I hope they give an option or somone can find file that binds forward motion to HMD rather than controller ,its an awfull mess having it this way

We are cataloging and prioritizing tweaks and fixes largely based on volume of demand and severity. The usual process is that over some period of time we accumulate as many fixes as we can and then send it over to QA to verify that all the fixes worked and we didn’t accidentally add any issues. Fully testing a VR game the size of Borderlands 2 VR is very very time consuming, so it’s hard to do a lot of little patches. (This Vive Patch basically removed almost all the safeguards in favor of getting it out to all of you ASAP. 2K did a great job reacting as fast they could.)

If you can, make a login on the GearboxSoftware page and say something!

Edit: if you’re using the Knuckles controllers, there are a couple of controller profiles already put out that you can use that pretty much fix the issues!
Edit2: was never a huge fan of the Borderland series, but this is FUN!!

Did one of the musketeers ( or other) review it? I’ll have to check it out. Did play a bit in 2d and in Koop it was funny… VR could be cool! Might be next after a visit to Asgard’s Wrath  ( did I mention that I really need them base stations ASAP :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)
It would be good if pimax could get support for those big titles that arrived and are poring in .

What FOV are you using? The problem seems to be related to the FOV. Small or Normal mostly seem to work correctly including clear letters on the buttons on the SteamVR dashboard but Large rarely works correctly.

Good point - many games have issues with a that large field of view as devs don’t seem have it in focus and did not abstract the code enough to adapt dynamically.

I started playing BD3 recently, then switched to BD2VR when they patched it: O my! Much better! I miss the gun that I had in BD3, but this is much more fun in VR!!!

Yes but I play almost every game with large FOV and no problems. Also I had Borderlands working fine with large FOV a couple of days ago but as soon as I restarted SteamVR the problems were back again. Since then I haven’t been able to get it to work correctly with large FOV!

Now I have visually compared the difference several times with PP and without PP in SteamVR.
Yes, maybe you’re right, and with PP turned on, the letters are a little more vague on those buttons in the SteamVR menu.
But honestly, this is so insignificant for me that I have never even noticed this before

About the FOV.
I would really like to play always with a Large FOV, and I tried to always include it in all games.
But, true, not all games have the correct support for Large FOV. Some games with an increase in FOV begin to look very muddy and fuzzy (for example, Seeking Down), and some do not start at all (Hellblade).

At some point, I was just tired of constantly messing with the settings, and I just settled on Normal FOV, 72hz, PP on, 1.0.
This combination of settings works in almost all games, and I only configure SS once for each game and that’s it :ok_hand:

Yes the buttons are insignificant however now they give an indication of whether Borderlands will work correctly or not. If the letters are more vague Borderlands will not work correctly no matter the FOV.

To turn it around if Borderlands works correctly then those button letters look the same as no PP.

It took me a while to notice this.
