my 4k started drifting 1,5 years ago, still drifting today…
and yet it still replaces my rift i have lying in the cupboard behind me…
all i wanted for the past 1,5 years was positional tracking for my 4k, the 8k seemd like a good sidegrade with less visual fidelity but wider fov and tracking. who knew it would be delayed over a year…
what is even the benefit of LH v2 versus v1? is it realy worth all this?
Simpler, cheaper, less susceptible to confusion due to mirrors and stuff, larger possible tracking volume. No backwards compatibility.
not sure how many months delay that is worth, pretty much none if you ask me.

They cost less to make, so I doubt anyone cares about any consumers opinion.
As for drift, as long as I don’t need to recenter the headset more than every 10-15 minutes, I’m fine with that.
I have an EDTracker (head-tracking system) which only has gyros and has a small amount of drift. I’ve adapted, so it’s no big deal (but do I look forward to getting my LH and finally solve the problem).

I’ve noticed that Pimax are listed as an Exhibitor for CES 2019, will the controllers be there?
No not ignoring presumably waiting for HTC to finish them.
