@PimaxQuorra thank you for trying to provide us an update on whether or not deluxe earphones will be available for individual purchase. It has been 19 hours since you last stated that the update would be out by today
it really would be best for Pimax to deliver this update before the chinese new year to give the informations to people waiting to find this out before using upgrade plans. If we do not get this information at least a week before the January 31st, then it might be taken as unfair for some that this information was not provided sooner, and then people may ask for another extension on the upgrade plans.

So from the weekly update, it would seem that since the headphones will indeed be interchangeable. From this one would assume that we could purchase them separately, will we be seeing this in the store at some point?
Also, I chose to upgrade my backer MAS to a Deluxe MAS. Does this mean that it will be shipped all at once at the later date when the Deluxe headphones are ready? Or will the MAS be shipped as soon as it is ready, with the Deluxe headphones shipping at a later date? I had to pay $35 extra shipping, so one would hope that something extra is being shipped, correct? @PimaxQuorra

This is still unclear to me, let me try to make what I am confused about as clear as possible. Which of these is true? @PimaxQuorra
- Since I ordered the Deluxe MAS, I will not be receiving anything until the Deluxe MAS is ready to ship.
- Since I ordered the Deluxe MAS, I will get the Standard MAS as soon as it is ready. Then, when the Deluxe MAS addition is ready to ship, I will be receiving that.

@PimaxQuorra: Just to clarfy, what we are referring to is ifwhe will receive anything (i.e. the other items in our orders until the DAS is ready, or, as it was stated multiple times, receive everything BUT the DAS - which leaves the question on how to mount the HMD (I wouldn’t be bothered receiving my 8KX “naked” as I have the standard strap from my backer unit plus ordered a MAS to make this a sellable item, however I am bothered NOT receiving the base station that’s still part of my KS pledge and my other open SO from Novemnber anytime soon).
Matter of fact, as the strap has been confirmed modular and the drivers are confirmed 3rd party product and not part of the strap SKU it would just sound reasonable Pimax to ship the headset including the strap without drivers and just ship the DAS systems once they are ready. So, the users would not have to wait extra, have something to play and hence be happy and silent and you only have to ship out very small and light boxes with the drivers and save a lot of money. This is your typivcal win-win situation.

Just scored myself a cheap broken vive pro on ebay, which I needed anyway for a replacement part on my one.
Hopefully that’s my DIY deluxe headphone upgrade sorted for my 8kx mas when it arrives.

Yes mate. Well happy.
I needed a small plastic piece to replace on my vive pro which covers the cost i paid anyway.
so now ill basically have a working vive pro headstrap to either fit on a pimax whole or use for donor parts.
I might even use the headphone hinged mechanisms to fit a set of high quality over ear cans.
Also I noticed in the pic its got full front , sides & back vr covers which cost quite a bit too.
Hey I might even try to repair the thing & sell it for a few hundered lol.

So if I use my $100 coupon + $129 coupon (from Support for this purpose) to buy a Deluxe MAS, I will receive a MAS ASAP and the Deluxe add-on when it’s ready? This is confirmed?

If originally you already place the order on the Standard MAS, you will receive it once the stock is ready. For the add-on Deluxe MAS will come afterwards.
