At NYC either Kevin or Martin indicated the button speakers could be unscrewed (in the final version only - not yet) so we couldnāt see the functionality.

Well if I donāt have direct specifics. I say should as Sweviver said last he heard and M for Modular.
Now @noobvrguy also says was told the same. So in theory were a go for Modular Upgrading the strap.

@Heliosurge This reads more like he should get a confirmation from China first because what @PimaxQuorra wrote sounded like the opposite if you read them side by side.

The fact is that we donāt know yet howās it going to be. Thereās no 100% sure official announcement about this.

Thereās so little official announcement on anythingā¦ not even the upgrade deadline backdate we were promised over a month ago. And given the lack of detail on what the product may or may not be going to be this would bve the first thing to address. As of now I am postponing the click on the ābuyā button every day. They are not doing themselves a good service and with Chinese New Year being effectively in full swing already we wont have any better clue until itās too late.
IMHO and experience doing business with quite a few suppliers and own customers from China for the manufacturing company of professional media production gear I am working as engineer and product manager, this is way beyond the explanation of cultural difference we are constantly given.

Yes there was an official announcement to extension til the 31 of January. Just havenāt heard beyond that.

Yeah, until atleast 31th Jan. They gave us a date because we asked for it. In reality the extension will go beyond that, letās wait and see if we can get some more info and a real deadline after the CNY.

AFAIK that was just one official representative reporting that this was a yet to be confirmed plan. If I missed the posting of a Pimax employee reliably confirming this deadline in writing here I beg you pardon.

Yet, CES through since 11 days, time for the final confirmationā¦
Although I could place an upgrade order for 8KX with MAS and possibly up it later to Deluxe (possibly) still, and this is exactly the red thread with Pimax, they are changing the specs and plans faster than some are with their underwear. Iit would be easier if communication was more transparent and would leave one with the feel of organised management. As stated, being product manager myself - and man, I know some about delays, so I wonāt complain about that, yet I wouldnāt dare to announce anything vague until I knew the exact specs, leave alone taking on orders or, to put it exact, cash up front and possibly changing the specs recursively. Not that itās bad product management, rather than marketing, stillā¦
With that being said, Artidsan was the best project management and projected launch so far, so, thereās hopingā¦

I was more referring to announcement incl. specs, price shipping date and following this through (and letās just forget that stupid pre-christmas anouncement Arti-gate ever happened )
But yeah, seems to hit a good sweet spot and a good item for their portfolio.

Even if you have official statement (like base station shipping) it is often just changed later. Despite this I would like to hear clear answer regarding the standard MAS speakers (ability to remove, possibility to replace or upgrade).

Definitely. Iāll hold on until CNY has come and gone to make my decision if and what I am going to place an order for but have little hope itāll be any more detailed than info available now.

On 13/1 we got an extensive weekly update which was said to mark the beginning of a series of weekly updates on the progress in general, on several work items.
I have not seen any such update since, while it is now 9 days later. Will there be no such update prior to CNY ? And is it really going to happen afterwards or was it a one-off as has been the case so many times when Pimax declare dto do things differently/better from now on ?
