What to do in the mean time while we wait?

Ok so we have established 60% ish are 45y+ the rest have a future to look forward to (im 48) and everything hurts, but still i keep coming to the forum hoping for some good news but alas its a long wait.
Seriously tho its become a habit switch on laptop see if there is any updates @deletedpimaxrep1 is there any chance of scheduled updates instead of random ones please ,im patient and dont care if you take another year although that would be bad business management the way the vr world is progressing ,but knowing when to check in would be a good thing ,i wouldn’t have to read all the posts asking when there is going to be an up date ,its a long time coming please allow us some organisation to our time

I’m going to just check in once a week and let them do their work. Literally the only thing i am going to find out next is that units are being sent to testers. if i find that out the day it is announced or a week later its not going to make any difference. additionally every major step forward gets covered by places like road to vr, so i can just check those .

In the mean time I’m preparing my VR simulator rig with a racing+flight stand, new Hotas setup and soon hopefully also a new comfortable chair. VR simulators are for sure gonna be a blast with the Pimax 8K, so better get ready and do some practice before the real excitement begins

Cool I was considering the same setup for playing both racing sims and flight sims like DCS world.

That one looks very much like the Omega GT, how much is it priced ? Let we know your impressions after some testing !

Yeah its quite portable as well, it folds in seconds and I can move it away while not being used
I paid around 200 Euro for the Racing Stand + 70 Euro for the Flight stand addon. Sure, I promise I will!

My advice : send back Next Level Stand and pickup real stuff like this one ( a chipest one on the market) 海南恿肺物流有限公司 or atleast their frame with chair for 590 Euro 海南恿肺物流有限公司

Wow, that’s expensive… That seems comparable to my Obutto… but the Obutto is cheaper.

EDIT… sorry… i didn’t see that those include motion on that really expensive one… Obutto doesn’t have that. Use buttkickers myself. But the base station without motion is still more than the Obutto. This model above is an older model… they do have a new version plus additional accessories. I have mine configured for both racing sims and flight sims.

I use the next level racing stand for my car sim, but found it was better to set up my flight sim separately and swap out the next level stand for my home made flight stand. All on a hardwood platform with quadraphonic butt kickers.
Motion sim would be great, but too exe for the good stuff.

Picked up the same wheelstand last year along with T.16000M FCS, it’s not bad for more immersiveness.

I am seriously considering to back the FeelThree Motion Rig which is hopefully going to hit Kickstarter in the coming weeks.

Would seem awesome for FlightSims and also RacingSims (perhaps just a bit less a natural match for the latter but still probably very enjoyable). But of course as always with Kickstarter, it’s a gamble and you have to expect delays… (sorry if that is breaking news for some readers here)

Wow that looks like a very succesful design. It’s pricey though but I guess for the apparatus class it’s not too expensive

Work continues on my cockpit rig also - here’s a bit of recent progress, but there’s a series of vids covering various aspects:
