And no update on when the comfort kit will again be available on the pimax store. Been waiting a month for a restock so I can together order the silicon protective cover using my coupons then have them shipped together.

Remember how they said on the march 27th update that they’d start mass production april 16th, roughly 2 weeks later. Now today, 6 weeks later, they announce mass production for may 24th, roughly 2 weeks later AGAIN??? Is that the new thing? “Mass production will start in 2 weeks”, indefinitely?

There is no delay

I don’t know why anyone would still be trying to put a positive spin on anything, clearly they’re going to be using the smas to fulfill new orders of 8kx/+ rather than giving them away “free” to people who paid three years ago.
In fact I’m pretty sure P Day3 is going to be yet another attempt to get backers to give up on stretch goals.

I see sarcasm is lost on you. Do you honestly think were likely to have the SMAS shipped to us while they work another 2 weeks+ on the 8kX
They will likely make us wait while shipping the X with the SMAS; instead of shipping it to those whom were first. Backers and Pre Orders(first round)

I think there is a missunderstanding in PiMax communication. There is a difference in manfucaturing of “handcrafted” and “industrial massproduction”.
Maybe it helps to compare with Tesla. The Model S and Model X from Tesla were manufactured as a single piece. Like old british manufacturer Rollce Royce, Lotus and Jaguar in the 90’s. Tesla changed these with Model 3 which has a industrial production line. The jump between these manufacuring capabilities costs Tesla several month, before they achieved a stable flow in massproduction. The reason is that you need to design your product close to the production capabilities. And that means, if product design is finished, you need to prepare “tools for workers”. In order to achieve the estimated timeframe for every production/manufacturing center.
I think, what was done with the 30 Samples, was a pre production (Tier 0). And we should be lucky that there is no breakpoint by a deviation. Like the handmotionsensor which needed a redesign of housing.
