VoodooDE KDMAS Review (Now Working, Use Adapter Cable to Left Connector)

You could still edit it by the youtube editor to remove the black screen ^^

With the amount of 3D printed pieces I’ve had made for my Pimax I’ve considered buying a 3D printer myself.

They need to give a 3d printer for free with every pimax headset you buy…The pimax modular headsets

I will, too! (After all it was me that hinted @VoodooDE on the first video that he was holding the KDMAS in his hands, not the DMAS  )

The adapter Y cable that joins both headphones of the kdmas to the left audio output of the 8kx … Just a bit long

Seems then there might be something different then between 8k+ and 8kX as an 8k+ user long ago reported using both audio ports with A quest or go headphones worked fine without using a y cable.

So this issue might be isolated to just the 8kX?

I believe the X uses different DAC/amps than the rest of the headsets?

@PimaxUSA: Didn’t You mention that at some point or am I imagining things, again…?

It may though it was said SMAS and DMAS are compatible with 8k+ and 8kX. So the 8k+ also uses different Amp/dac than earlier models.

Honestly after hearing the different issues with the audio. I’m going to reinstall the SMAS and make sure.

I’ll try cleaning the connections and pulling the audio out half way

because I’m having trouble believing the SMAS audio could sound as bad as they did. I mean im 90% sure they sounded like crap but I just need to confirm that it wasn’t an anomaly. Ill report back when I do.

i don’t want to pull a voodooDE and realize there’s a fix.
