People keep writing 356.38 - its 456.38
True, it is 456.38
I’m going to wait until they fix all the issues before I continue playing.
Sensible thing to do but can’t, it’s so damn good!
SWQ was off my radar as i was not expecting much but once they fix that frame rate thingy it’s a must have.
Firing off weapons and engines ripping with sound from a bass transducer and ffb Hotas is such rush…the concussive feedback is so immersive.
I haven’t even started the story as i was just mapping controls and optimizing in practice area :). I Will try to wait for patch before starting story.
Wait, what kind of ffb hotas do you have?
I’m using a Microsoft Sidewinder FFB2 with a saitek Throttle and there is no FFB
I finally have SWS working with the Xbox controller and it looks great except for the stars. It’s a lot of fun but damn I need some flying lessons. Does a decent HOTAS make it any easier.
Old Logitech g940 and yes i don’t feel an ffb in SWS yet but hopefully some software can fix that eventually. Was more referring to the bass shacker but i do like this flight stick even with its flaky button issues at times.
Have you found a way to make the stars look sharp and not totallyfluffy blurry french sugar cone style?
A flight hotas and VR are a match made in heaven… but no need to spend a lot of money. I have Rudder pedals but they’re not really that essential. Having said that I like the ease of an Xbox controller at times… I wish no man’s Sky could Implement that at least.
Look up Brunner CLS - it’s a FFB Base for joysticks. GamerMuscle has one that he’s been using for MSFS 2020
Yeah that Brunner ffb is top notch, GM paired it with a warthog flight stick i think.
Runs sweet as a nut on my 8K, nice option to toggle smoothly between VR and pancake mode if you need to tweak things.
I’ve been a huge star wars fan since forever, and this is a dream come true game for me. Sadly, it’s also proven to me I’m not cut out to be pilot. I’m going to need a lot of practice, otherwise I’ll be the guy who hits the wrong button and self destructs at the beginning of the mission. I’m truly awful, and can’t remember all of the control mappings. I’m considering playing pancake with little stickers everwhere until I get the hang of things…
I struggle to hit static targets let alone moving ships, although if there is a statis object nearby I’m bound to fly into it and die in a ball of flames. I clearly do not have the force.
I modded the TIE-Bomber in one campaign mission so that its slow, has high health, hits hard with its laser beam and has a autocannon that tracks targets - maybe that’s more your style then
Im learning the ropes as well. Way too many buttons but with some practice ill remember them. In vr its definitely harder.
I did play with the settings a bit and tried to use smart smoothing but the ghosting when turning is atrocious. Thats why ill never use smart smoothing. It looks like crap to me.
Unfortunately no, while everything else looks awesome, the stars look like they’re from a PS1 game. If they were high res, the game would look amazing.
Ye i got it pretty decent looking but the stars do look blurry fat dots instead of sharper looking like they should.
Is there any option that would help that?
Doesn’t appear to be. There’s a bug report to EA here about it. Please post your support so this gets noticed.
Noticed someone in there complaining about PP as well for Index and Pimax users.
Probably me. Lol. What username
