It has indeed. I’ve had several shipments from China, some sent as long ago as March, never arrive. And those that arrived were delayed considerably.
It’s slowly beginning to normalize now.

8kx kickstarter backers would only occupy less than 400 8kx made, I really dont see a problem there, and to date some are already shipped, I cant imagine it would take too long before pimax starts get into production for upgrades and pre orders.
And besides 8kx backers deserved to be first as they took the biggest risk.

Believe me I can sympathize with your position. However if you have followed pimax they maybe talented group, but there way too optimistic on timelines. Please don’t take this as defending their actions taking Pre Orders without a semi-solid timeline. Even the first round of pre orders in 2018 was a huge mess.
While it can be nice to be within the first groups to receive a product. Often it is best to wait til it is definitely available for sale. Think of the backers of Star Citizen.
Or imho a company like Sisense whom not only took Backers money but also took pre orders and released nothing in 4 years. Fortunately those folks were at least given a full refund.
Hardlight Vest never completed delivery of Stretch goal items even after being out for regular retail sale.
Don’t let apathetic responses get you down. On the plus side as @mirage335 said pimax is finally bringing things into alignment. While it maybe not a lot of comfort many of the pimax team have owned up to mistakes made and I am sure things should be smoother sailing from here.
Your patience as @nordic has said is greatly appreciated. 8kX is shipping out to backers. Pre Orders will not be far behind.

For sure things are tuff everywhere. My guess is that Pimax will get hit again due to the C19
Here’s the difference, Pimax will get 8KX to backers before Star Citizen gets out of Alpha.

It’s more of the fact that I’m being a cynical person that I’ve always been. I used to buy games every few months, now it’s every few years.
It’s funny how you were in a bad mood for several days regarding 8K-X delivery while I was all peaceful and now we’ve switched roles lol. Whatever, I’m over it.

Hi Kevin. I feel honored that you are answering my questions directly. I appreciate your explanation, but I’m still confused. The thing is, we don’t have those widgets to set aside, away from the sales team before new purchases are made. It seems to me that right now when there is no excess inventory, the production of each and every headset is working toward fulfilling orders already paid for. How can setting aside 500 units that weren’t previously set aside not delay that fulfillment? If we’re talking about preventing the sales team from interfering by making additional sales, well that’s a different matter. If you promise that my delivery will not be delayed by this, I’ll accept that. But I would still like to get that fantastic price offered to backers for eye tracking. Again, I sincerely appreciate that you’re answering my questions personally. And I apologize if I’m being obtuse.
