It’s nice to have options Nexus Mod Manager can also remove mods with a click and is so easy to use in fact i started from Vanilla to all the mods listed here in 2 days time of just a few hours each day. Today I add Armored Hands( since i’ve been preferring of late to use a swivel bar stool ) and Karna’s Color Booster only slight change version or Saturation Increase by Simtar123 to see which one i prefer.
I just reinstalled Skyrim VR and am doing a Wabbajack install. Looking at the names of the mods alone I’m already excited. It’s a long download though…
i cannot get it to work,i use still the mod installer… but the arms dont show up in game…
Do you launch the game from the mod manager?
I have to launch from the mod manager nowadays since I started using VRIK.
Its true that Mod Organizer may be more security proof. I should have choose my words better. NMM can disable with one click but really requires 3 to remove and that doesn’t remove them from your game Data folder, so maybe better for some to use Mod Organizer i just have no experience using that sorry to sound like i was disagreeing earlier.
Edit; I must have had a slight stroke earlier while typing this. NMM absolutely removes the files from your data folder when you remove them.
Welp, downloaded 8 billion Wabbajack GB but it can’t download one single hotfix file and now my install won’t continue. I though this was the easy route…
how do i launch the game in mod manager?
I use Nexus Mod Manager and there’s a launch button on the dashboard tab if I remember correctly.
edit: Sorry, maybe it’s called Vortex… Damn all these names…
how could i miss that… lol… but it didnt work,a pitty
Run loot from the dashboard before launch too.
edit: I hope someone can chime in because I’m not at all a knowledgeable modder.
DynDOLOD - Dynamic Distant Objects LOD is an essential mod for higher-res headsets.
It can be a bit confusing to setup, but is totally worth it.
I consider DynDOLOD, SMIM and VRIK the 3 core mods for a VR setup.
VR mirror is considered unsafe, VRIK has a vanity function.
I see you use both HDT and CBPC, I don’t really see a mod that is using HDT, but I’m curios of the performance impact of those engines. I’m using only CBPC with a very limited config, and this with the 5k, I’m afraid I’ll need to completely drop it when I upgrade.
Never heard of that, try asking on their discord the creator is there all the time to help troubleshoot.
Hi prinyo I just spent the last hour enjoying SkyrimVR in my Pimax 8kX using all of the mods i have shown and I get very good performance, i don’t have numbers at this time but movement for me through the world is so far very playable of course just adjusting the level of supersampling can help if you run into issues. The HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) is new released in December of last year and revised in January of 2020, and i’m using it with with body physics. Later considering trying a hair mod that will allow for greater physics. I went through the tutorial of setting up DynDOLOD and actually had a very great build going with it at one time but unfortunately it has been some time ago and if you don’t use these tools often and a lot it can be easily forgotten. I have modded almost everyone of my favorite games and really now can’t play any other way. I have a great version of Grand Theft Auto IV going now with so many mods it looks quite gorgeous really.
Guess I might be the only person here who has never played this game in any form. lol It sounds like the mods make a huge difference, but the opening post is a bit overwhelming for a relative non tinkerer like me.
What is the simplest way to get a good percentage of the benefits? Is it something like the Wabbajack or is there a NMM compilation of everything? Will Sweviver’s “VR Experience” thing do a lot of the system adjustments for me, so that I should wait for that? Or do I try to struggle my way through that opening post plus the rest of this thread?
Lastly, I saw that there is also a multiplayer capability mod. Wondered if anyone knew how well that worked as my wife and I would like to play in vr together.
Thank you for any help.
The great thing about SkyrimVR is you really don’t need to do anything to the game to play and enjoy it. In fact a new player probably should start that way. The Pimax Experience will help with all games across the board to get your Pimax looking it’s best from the start. However, for those who want a game to look better or perform better, you would need to experiment with mods, in game settings or preference settings .
You would have to be in a mind set first I wan’t to experience more of this game and as things aren’t built in a day it takes time with this or any other games you have the preference how far you want to take it or invest in it. If you decide to enter the world of adding mods i can say it is fun and easy but start slow.
Others probably could direct you to VR titles that offer Coop modes, I play Solo and never on line or in multiplayer that is just my preference.
Fresco could you please export and upload the file from Skyrim VR tweaks? so many post to edit and am to lazy
Skidrow sorry i wouldn’t know how to go about doing that or i don’t think it is possible? My knowledge is somewhat limited on this and I’m far from an expert. The only thing I do know is the SkyrimVR Configuration tool is freely available at Nexus and any one can easily open it and start changing settings.
That one is easy but not as I tought, in the program it self you have export import but that did not work, what I can see it looks like the file you edit ends up at C:\Users"user name"\Documents\My Games\Skyrim VR and is called SkyrimVR.ini
The partial list of my SkyrimVR settings are shown in the 5th picture down from the top. I think that all the settings are not accessible without the use of the configuration tool. Tried to export but didn’t work for me either requires another program to send the modified settings to.
For me it looked like all i had changed settings in, so as long as it is all you changed then it should be fine
