Hi MReis, glad to share or help where i can doing what i now enjoy!
May i make a suggestion here for anyone new to modding there are various ways to mod Skyrim VR.
Start by watching an entertaining tutorial video on youtube. One of my favorites that first got me started was by Gopher and Tyriel woods was a good one.
You can also try what others have suggested but i have difficulties with the latest and still Prefer the Community build of Nexus Mod Manager to be the easiest to use.
Beware if someone is new to modding with installing something like HDT-SMP physics mod or other similar mod I would not recommend until you are very comfortable with what you are doing you could easily wreck your entire game universe.
Other mods are much easier to install and require less instructions. Then you could get a load order problem and could use something like Loot program to sort that and later there’s Dyndolod for rendering distant objects.
My mods listed so far and in there order and plugin do not require Loot or Dyndolod
Very Cool, @RaiN274 i really like the tree mod can you share that, and any tips about what you are using for in game capture. Only half way through your 1st video upload it looks great. If you have never tried using Majestic Mountain Mod i really like that one i use the darkside version but they have the main version and the light side version maybe more to your liking.
Yes I used most of the textures in 8k . Was downloading every 8k texture I could find on Nexus. But be aware you need more vram than 11gb . Get a Titan Card with 24gb of vram for that. 8k textures are the best in vr
Back in the day I had a cracked Version from skidrow or so , perhabs it was the reason why I had to use parallel projections. Maybe if I buy the game I can use it without pp and save alot of Performance
Definitely just buy the game. I used to run pirated versions back in the day and eventually noticed the purchased version always ran better. With 8KX VR and mods, you’ll want every bit of performance you can get.
As a dev, I always buy, there always is a sale around the corner . In fact I think I have enough games to last through my pension time when it comes, Just to teasing if a game you always wanted appears for a few dollars - its embarrassing, but I have also bought games on GOG when they are there for a few bucks just because it’s easier than trying to get the old one from Disk, CD or DVD Running again.
Yes, VRIK is insanely awesome. I’ve combo’ed it with some bow mods I don’t remember the names of but you have to grab every new arrow behind your shoulder so I use the knuckles grip to grab an arrow and then use the trigger to nook it on the string. I can then put the bow on my back behind my left shoulder and grab a dagger from my forearm. OMG it’s so fecking cool!
RaiN274 in second video at time stamp 8.00 I thought that was pretty magical. I also enjoyed that ride previously but without the cool weather effect option.
I highly recommend Mod Organizer to install Skyrim mods, it’s very hard to permanently break your game with it because it isolates almost all mods from the base game so they can be removed with a simple click.
Knuckles work really well with the mod. It doesn’t have full individual finger tracking yet, but he’s working on it. It currently supports Oculus touch style partial finger tracking on both Oculus and with the knuckles. It’s really neat. Anyone who has Skyrim should check it out.
