Should Pimax send their HMD to YouTubers now?

My pledge my right.

Backers first. Period.

Unless it’s pewdiepie. He likes vr. Markipliers too critical on vr me thinks but maybe I’m wrong. I do know pewdiepie’s looking for endorsement deals.

You are right & ir pimax demoes to youtubers doesn’t affect backers or ship times.

Pimax in the past have declined sending review samples to youtubers & considering settings can be tricky it wouldn’t be wise to send a headset. But visiting during an event would be good.

Atleast don’t send anything to the other swede (the annoying one)

Backers first.
No ifs, no buts, no conditions.
We trusted Pimax early, we gave our hard earned money based on pure faith in the product, we deserve to get served before everyone else.

Is that the fellow that sounds like Aladdin’s parot?

And you will. There reserved units use; doesnot affect backers.

What about putting up a vote for:

  1. Give me some money now.
  • Give me some money later.

I guess that is what you are asking, right?

By the way I didn’t vote because my option is the third: don’t give anything for free, this is not a charity and it would be an insult to the backers who paid for it.
Want a Pimax 8K or 5K+? Pay for it.

Pimax doesn’t give review samples. Youtubers have asked in the 4k forums & were declined.

So no free headsets.

Really don’t see the need of more Youtubers review so my answer is no.
When available for general public then they are free to buy one and test it all they want.
Not interrested in seeing more reviews.

Maybe that’s a good lesson on how not to do it then.

It is not so much a review but a “Hey I have this cool new headset” video and their millions of subscribers who all rush out and get one. I am talking the big channels here, those are the ones that never pay for items as manufacturers fall over themselves trying to get some air time with them.

Of course if they want one to own they would need to purchase one. Plus it’s not to cloud your choices & is not being said to do right now or even a week or 2.

If they are doing a Backer meet or event it makes perfect sense to monopolize on the opportunity to do a private demo to a local vr youtuber. Much like they did during the roadshow.

Ah but if your going to do something like that. Why not step it up & send a representative to help setup & be interviewed for the show?

Much better endorsement. Just be sure that there are other appointments to make the trip worthwhile.

That is a different form of advertising as it includes the company. That Unbox Therapy link I posted above for instance would hate that. He likes to do his own tinkering without having somebody looking over his shoulder. It’s his show, his rules to say what he wants to his followers. Road trips cost a lot of money to organise and be on-hand. May as well just post the product to them, hope they give you air time and let the product speak for itself.

He even had a Tesla Model 3 sent to him lol

Well on the otherside. While I will no longer do business with them some distrubuters send out samples like Gearbest.

Part of some of the 4k’s roll out issues imho as GB is not a very responsible company in my experience.

They shouldn’t send them to any press when they don’t have large quantities of inventory. It is just pure foolishness to advertise something you don’t have readily available yet.

No one is suggesting doing this right away. As Pre Order gets ready it’s important to increase exposure. Further backer meets & events are good times to explore private meet ups with local big medias like youtubers etc…

That would be…
