Why should i guess, all the images are ugly.
@reptilexcq Its cropped (zoomed in) parts of macro photos through the lens. The images u see above are maybe 3% (or less) of the whole VR image. Thats the whole purpose. This shows details your eyes cannot see.

BTW @SweViver did you try that setting inside the steamVR room for the index to improve that subpixel banding? It seem from this picture you haven’t been using that.
