I’d say its safe to assume the update reveal will provide backers with housing issues a free replacement for either the ruggedized/rubberized versions, or a replacement to the “updated/revised” 5k/8k with better plastic, based off of these comments.
Maybe RGB front LED in revised models? I’d think they save that for the 8KX though.

Ok, so they are going to announce 8k+, not interested unless they offer an upgrade plan.

The led is already rgb. They just haven’t given us the ability to change it yet.

But not a pimax office with Warehouse & such. At times my Car can be considered an office but not a Base of Operations to get needed tasks complete.

I’d say still reading into things. Better to wait & see; some I suspect maybe confusing improvements with a wider berth considering Steven Bowman talk of the 8k RE & such.
I’d recommend we keep expectations low to ensure potential positive take aways when Announcement does occur.

There are definitely “updated” models with caseing and plastic improvements, which customers with cracked casing will be entitled to under rma after the 16th sept, going by Pimaxusa’s reply to the cracked casing thread.
Whether those “updated” versions customers with cracked casing will be entitled to are the rubberised RE versions, or the 8K+, is yet to be seen.
I think it would be safe to assume that it may just be “updated” 5k+ and 8k models with better plastics, eering on the pessimistic side of what Pimaxusa’s words might have meant when he said " I would humbly recommend you wait until after Sept. 16th because we need to insure 100% that you receive the updated version."

The updated face mask was already advertised. Plastic housing improvements to housing was mentioned for folks to wait for the 16th before rmaing as new mfg process should be good.
These are only known details. Rest is pure speculation. Hence don’t make expectations higher with idea of entitlements on unknown things.
RE models have upgraded features beyond just housing.

It can be deduced from what Pimaxusa said that the new models also have new lenses. That would make it interesting.
