I don’t care when backers are receiving their 8K-X. I care about when pre-order customers will receive theirs. So I hope Pimax will answer that at the event.

I think that just like Pimax day 1 and 2 people are going to get their hopes up unreasonably high and be let down once again and most likely 75% (if Im being generous) of Pimax’s supposed delivery targets that they are set to announce will, once again, be missed.

Though its an understandable concern, a big difference between previously missed targets and the targets that have now been set is that the units in question are already being made. Previous estimates for the launch of the 8KX, MAS, and so on were made before mass production of these items was set into motion. While it is certainly possible that deadlines will once again be missed, I think that it is okay to be a little more optimistic this time that they won’t be by too much, if that unfortunately comes to pass.
I am hoping for a rough estimate for my preorder delivery made official through the stream, but we’ll see. I personally think that all X backers will be able to see their units at least shipped out before August, even if those units somehow don’t make it to their homes by then.

I remember him giving the impression something big was coming and it wasn’t a new product - it just left me wondering and that was just one the possibilities that his post provoked me to think about.

Well, lets be honest the entire event could be 10 seconds long for all I care if the only words uttered were
“everything has already shipped, including controllers MAS, basestations ,eyetracking and hand tracking. Expect it at your doorsteps within a week…stream ended”

I cant remember now, wasnt pimax day 2 only called that was because the first one was cut short or something?
The name implies, to me at least, that it’s going to be a recurring thing. Like a “what’s new” thing.

I am really happy with the 8K+ (especially after I did the firmware update) but part if me wants the latest and greatest… it’s not the wallet part.

How far realistically is a wireless solution for the 8K-X? Has there been any feasibility studies on whether it’s even possible? I know that might not happen for maybe another year if at all.
