New PiPlay version 2.0.7 Beta is available for downloading

So how is 2.0.5.46?
What’s the improvements?

I found that the magnetic calibration stopped working?
I tried it once,
cheers

@Heliosurge
Hey mate,
Have you tried this version yet and if so, is there any decent benefits from it?
Cheers
Jb

I haven’tvhad a chance as of yet. Work has been long this week.

@bacon still no improvements in ghosting in this latest version? Can you elaborate on where you are with the ghosting improvements, I feel that this is one of the biggest immersion killing issues of the 4k. I know you are still comparing the ghosting to the 1.1.92 drivers and was hoping in some improvements in this latest driver release.

Thanks

Eno

Hey Eno, maybe they could add a couple of sliders to adjust the timing of the shudders so we could try tweaking it.

@Pimax-Support @bacon

Could you see if the engineers could implement this for the 4k model?

I didn’t test the new version much, but ghosting was still very bad, no improvements at least in this aspect.

My image is still tilted, where do i find this “special tool”

@IsaacB Please download this tool at link: MEGA

And then drag it to “C:\Program Files\Pimax\PiPlay2”, finally run it.

I am currently most interested in the drift that is present at 99% when using psmove.
When will this drift be cured?
For all the time of use, there has been no drift just a couple of times that is very distressing.
Just wondering whether in the near future there will be normal changes to drift and ghosting?

Hi, which Piplay version you use? Is the drift phenomenon still exist without using PSmove?

At the moment I use the latest version. The
drift is present on all versions without exception, but there were a
few moments when it was not after the appearance of the drift correction
function (on different piplay).
Without the
use of PSmove is shown much less often, as when watching a movie through
a virtual desktop it was weak (insignificant)
Also, many nolo users also complain about the drift.
@Pimax-Support

Hi, thanks. As per users’ feedback recently, the drift phenomenon have been improved much in recent Piplays. Have you calibrated magnetism before you used the headset? Or refer to @Enopho’s solution, i.e.

The fact is that the calibration in recent versions simply does not work.
Yesterday
evening I tested the version 1.2.93 and after calibration it did not
drift, but in versions 2+ there is drift in all, but I do not know this
from the others (but judging by the reviews far not only do I have a
drift).
@Pimax-Support
I also want to add to the
drift creeps away to the side and the controllers remain at their
original place, which makes us constantly press the centering button in
the piplay.
If you do this procedure through the mirror, steamvr centering does not help.
If
beforehand steamvr is done manually calibrating the drift in piplay
(1.2.93) everything works as it should without removing the controllers
(which makes versions 2+ piplay not suitable for playing with
controllers, but at the same time they obviously benefit from versions
of 1+ versions).

It would be nice if there was an “auto calibration switch” for those of us who use tracking other than nolo. It would also be nice if there was less ghosting :joy: Oh a man can dream though.

Using SteamVRs inbuilt centering isn’t a solution for a problem of the 4K. Really should have been entirely fixed by now.

Something is of with my pimax.

First steamvr would not stay shut down, so after a while I resorted to pull the hdmi plug out to see if it would work.

But now piplay or steamvr would not play nice no matter what I did.

So I tried the latest piplay (I was still on 1,1,92 FW 236) and I pushed the update firmware to 265…

did not work good.

Went back to 1,1,92, had some bugs, fixed some but is not like before, I now get sick very quickly, never did before !

I want to get back to FW236 but I tried and it still shows FW265.

I tried manuel and with the tool.
The tool work bad because you can’t kill the piplay service !

We keep testing new piplays, how do we know the firwares are not problematic ?

How do I know I did not screw up calibration ?

How do I know a steamvr update would be the culprit ?

@Pimax-Support @Doman.Chen @bacon

What is steam vr headset window ?
Makes 2/3 of my monitor go black and that’s it… stuck…

Again it’s either the FW265 or a steamvr update that’s the problem.

Any of us using the latest piplay are on firmware 265.

I would recommend reinstalling steamvr & see if that works.

But if you can post your system specs
Windows ver
Cpu/ram
Gpu/driver ver
