Need help with my Pimax 4k

any idea how long it takes for support to respond? I need help

Quicker if you use @Sean.Huang & @Pimax-Support for pimax team members.

Though there is alot of us in the community that monitor & try to help out.

Best though to detail what you need help with & you system specs.

Cpu/ram
Gpu/driver version
Headset first 3 serial ie 100

when active screens flash like a bad HDMI connection, I still have that color shift issue Gyros aren’t compensating with head move

I have installed/ uninstalled, tried reflashing

any guidance is appreciated

Now by color shift, do you mean like a ghost after image?

Quick head rotation in games especially high contrast games you will see an after image.

Video will display well though.

What program are you running?

color shift as in

moving my head does nothing I only see the desktop wallpaper it doesn’t line up as in each eye has a part of the wallpaper, looking left right up or down never changes the view. That is what leads me to thinking the gyros aren’t doing anything. the colors line up in the center but out to the edges they go not out of focus but stop lining up like the picture.

not sure if there is something wrong with the pimax, or the connections , both the USB and HDMI ports are virtually new as I upgraded both the video cards and MB for this little venture.

It sounds like the headset is in video mode. In this mode it shows up in your video cards properties as a monitor. Try piplay settings & switch to pimax mode.

Sorry but I don’t see where to switch in settings in 3.0.0.71
I see General, device, Help and Privacy when I click the gear, and the link shows USB and HDMI connected with the xman symbol under the right lens tracking and controllers are disconnected.
Am I looking in the wrong place, or should I not have updated to 3.0.0.71

Version 3 is known to have increased ghosting

ok so I uninstalled 3 and installed ver 2.0.7.54 chain link shows USB and HDMI connected still with the X Men X tracking, controller and base station all disconnected no place to switch modes that I can see

gear shows

I think we may need support on this. It shows connected on hdmi with a ? & usb. However the headset itself is showing disconnected.

@deletedpimaxrep1 @Sean.Huang. Can yous get support working properly as it seems of late only Community based support is active. @neko is still waiting on your team in both support emails & forums. No one seems to be at the post.

Added Xunshu to your post aa this has been a reoccuring issue of even support emails not being received or responded to.

The new support system is not as good as the fellow who used to handle support.

I worked with Sean yesterday and he got things working it did take a bit of time to sort out the issue. We disconnected and I decided to play around and see what the other mode would do. as soon as I did I think I broke the install. I tried uninstalling one of my antivirus software packages un installed PiPlay, then disable the other anti virus and reinstall PiPlay, still nothing. I tried adding some of the other zip files I got from Sean, and that didn’t work either.

Is there a big issue with switching modes?

I guess my next question is once I get more help and get it back to where it works, should I do anything special before updating firmware, or Piplay? Sean got me onto 3.0.0.71

was super excited right up until I broke the work Sean had done.
any advise is appreciated

If by switching modes; you mean pimax mode to video mode?

If so this shouldn’t have cause the install to break.

Do you know off hand what steps he used to get. The headset working?

Is the headset detected in piplay or is it like before hdmi & usb connected but headset not detected.

What color is the led?

Depending on windows settings best to open as administrator. I usually launch piplay myself instead of auto launching.
