There are many others.

But it was not sooo bad, I think you could already see that you can indeed see further than with other headsets. Anyways, I reshot the theory the lens videos and will upload probably tonight

Oh you are very welcome! It was indeed blurry and the settings were wrong as well. I was a bit in a hurry to pump out that video. Learned from that. Also coming up: I measured FOV in rov environment for G2, rift S, Cosmos, Artisan, 8kx. Coming up.

Why not measure Vive Pro FOV as well?

Please send it over in XL! I would proudly wear it because I appreciate companies that believe in VR and push it forwards. For exactly that reason I would also wear Oculus, HTC and Pimax shirts. Yes, I am biased: towards amazing VR experiences! Cheers!

@PimaxUSA - consider to add a Pimax t-shirt to the next MRTV review unit package then

Index really doesn’t look that bad in comparison… I am curious to see which of the two I will keep, and how the 8KX will fare in that competition.

Thanks, much better now!

G2 clarity is munch better - no doubt. But I’m not impressed by colors. Index have it more saturated even Rits S seems to have stronger sky/blue colors in this footage. Also looks like Rift S have serious performance problems in this video - like half fps less of G2 in A/B comparison.

That’s much better… the reverb g2 does look quite sharp in the distance. Thanks for taking the time Seb.

This is perfect. The distance clarity in driving sims is of most importance. This will blow away my 5k+

Best part is that you didn’t even enable super sampling. More to gain.

Great professional comparison Seb. The G2 looks really good and a big step up in clarity.

Would be interested in when someone with 8kx to run some iracing for their thoughts…

G2 looks good. I am surprised the Index competes as well as it does. Wondering how close you could get the Index if you turned SS up higher than 100%. Does anyone with a decent system run the Index at only 100% SS?

Now we seen some 1600x1440(index), 1280x1440(rift s), vs 2160x2160 (g2), I wouldn’t say I’m surprised with the outcome g2 has the advantage here, but rather an expected outcome.

What about something more on equal terms, since clarity and colors are on discussion here, ok I know seb doesn’t want to compare to a preproduction 8kx for his reasons but what about a g1 comparison. That has same resolution, and the amount of improvement can be seen and quantified.

As someone who is considering recommending g2 for my brother, and for the sake of pushing pre orders, I think this is a very valuable information prior to purchase.

Hi @mixedrealityTV
im just wondering, in the video when pausing and looking around starting with the license plate.
It looks very clear, but when you start panning to the side slowly everyting gets kind of a soft blur, is this just you camera that makes this effect or is it the panels that smear a little ?

Im not trying to bash HP, im just looking for you opinion.

I noticed this as well, even in the first TTL text got this weird blur. Also why no Reverb Pro comparison, it would be good to see the improvements between the 2?

clearly something went wrong with the rift s video comparison part. the rift s stutters and all other videos are fluid. i asked sebastian about it and he said “no stutter, just less fps” well, even with 80fps on rift s there shouldn´t be any stutter in a 30fps 4k video…

All in all a good comparison, surely lots of work and time involved. unfortunate issues with the rift s video.

90 fps is a whole numbers multiple of 30 fps, that might play a role?
