‘Free content’ Stretch goals for the games still being worked on to send emails for the ‘keys’. If this cannot be setup automatically, Pimax will assign someone to sort this out manually.

The reason it hasn’t been completed is there are thousands of keys to send out, hence they wanted to do it automatically.

Pimax Comfort Kit now ready for mass production.

In some people this will improve image quality due to the distance of the eye from the screen, not just helped by light leakage fix.

Pimax Day 2 - Update.

A pair [2] of Eye Tracking Modules price has now been reduced to 99 dollars for backers and supports Wide Field of View and prescription lenses.**

Prescription lens adaptor will NOT be needed [won’t be compatible] if you are going to buy the Eye Tracking Module. Another reason some may chose to let go of their Stretch Goals.

VR Days Europe may be a possibility for Pimax to demonstrate the Eye Tracking, and will definitely be shown at CES show.

I wish they would say if the 8kX could extend the cable at all? And if the refresh rate success/status is on the 8kX and what the 8k+ vs 8kX comes with? I know they said they both comes with the MAS, but do any of them come with the comfort kit?

Silicone protective cover available in a few weeks in 5 colours to prevent damage to housing when bumping into things.

8K-X Backers only…

Backers who were loaned a 5K plus or 8K headset CAN send it back to Pimax. Be aware shipping of up to 35 dollars applies.

Backers can also keep their loaned 5K Plus/8K headset for only 200 dollars as long as they Opt Out of the Stretch Goals. You still get the 100 dollars off the eye-tracking discount,

They said the wireless doesn’t work on the 8kX, does that mean it won’t work on the 8kX in upscaler mode either?

I just had a chat with someone at pimax about trhe lack of plan e,f,g. He said we must wait a couple of days to get the headset with those options.

Currently doesn’t work on 8K-X for obvious reasons.

so the 8kX can’t be extended at all is what they are saying;( If they can get wireless to work on the 8kX in upscaler mode or reduced FOV, that could satisfy.

I can’t pre-order when that 237.25 usd is still baked in to my order. I don’t trust Pimax to pay me back down the road.

i have some question i see many things but i dont see any good for backers.

  • we have to pay 179$ to have know the index controllers? not so good to have pay more money, and the worst we cant use the 100$ coupoun of the 8k to 5k+.
  • backers will have the rigid headstrap?
  • 8k to 5k+ backers can chage the 100$ coupon with the eye tracking?
