Not sure why Sebastian didn’t make a new thread like Voodoo, so here is.
Really awesome review, loved the blooper bit at the end.
Summary
Deffo going for the 5K+ based on this recommendation.
only 33 minutes WTF? Disappointingly short
Shit… Voodoo tells us using glasses is impossible. mixed tells us it’s fine. damn.
VoodooDE did not say impossible, he said the glasses will touch the pimax lens which can cause scratches. you can buy cheap lens covers from amazon. Problem solved.
SHIEEEETTT awesome awesome review. You know it’s true when the realist @mixedrealityTV says it’s the best headset on the market right now. The fov and the through the lens pics were
And i think i’m going with the 5k+
so did mrtv ,
either way it’s easy to fix. with several options available. I had the same problem with the Odyssey. simple to put scratch resistant film over the pimax lens. like the protective covers for smartphones.
I find it hard to believe that the 8K looks that bad. I mean, if you cranked up the settings does it still look that blurry? That would be very strange.
Don’t you think you’re a little backer centered, not everybody wants an 2.5 hours review, this review is also for every one on the internet;-)
so 1-1. We need SweViver’s verdict to settle this.
A dab of silicone or pads on glasses will protect the lenses as well.
Not sure that I will use the wide fov much , looks like the 140 fov is best
Keep in mind. If I remember correctly Seb doesn’t have a 1080 ti. So he might not be able to crank it up as high as Sweviver; but regular 1080ti are as apt to have as good as he has tge Msi Gaming-X which has a stock clock around 2ghz.
He bought a 1080 Ti for the review.
Awesome! Presume he has that on his youtube page. Just streaming his review from the forum to my tv.
What has happened to Sweviver’s review? He said it was an hour late. been longer than that. Technical difficulties? Or perhaps last minute updates due to competition.
@mixedrealityTV it’s a really professional presentation, clear and to the point also very suitable to watch for outsiders!
I think the Vive and the Vive Pro are tagged the wrong way round in the screenshot comparisons
