That’s cool this Article has info on it as well.
Reddit discussion with another article. One user figures might be around 90° FoV
“1.3-inch display capable of 5.2K HDR 10-bit images at 120Hz”
Now this is the real deal
Not quite full as FoVs are missing. But looks to be around g2.
I read Shiftall as S**t fall, they may wanna work on that one lol
I wonder how many of all these upcoming HMDs are “simply” OEM customisations of one and the same reference design (much like the old deluge of WMR headsets). -This particular new one certainly has a lot of visual design language in common with old Kopin prototypes.
Do we know what the manta ray feeding vane things are for? Just microphones? :7
Haha, they’ll rename it to Shiftstain.
I wonder if this is more Panasonic vaporware. If not it might be time to drop the arpara
Well they gave a release date and pricing so thats encouraging. I just believe by the time the Arpara ships there will be some solid options. If the Cambria has them were in for a treat
This is interesting, I trust Panasonic much more
leaks about Cambria today confirmed it will have miniled not OLED. Expected release Q2 2022
Oh man this is getting more and more interesting
Hmm… this the same panasonic that made this right?
whats the diff? is miniled still backlit?
Panasonic CDI? Or was that Philips that had tge CDI?
There was lots of dud consoles. 3do was promising but fizzle out.
TurboGfx16 was a great system as both main console and portable used same ps1 memory card size cartridges.
Amiga 600 iirc was a gaming console vs a pc like the Amiga 500.
Then of course Atari’s poor marketing on the Lynx and Jaguar.
Commercial quality Neo Geo.
Too many visions of grandeur.
The Panasonic flip down car TV’s were ok back in the 90’s haha
Iirc, miniled is backlit but with many more dimming zones so better contrast than normal LCD.
With OLED being included on PSVR2 i feel like tgese half-measures are not desirable.
If PSVR2 works on PC (even with a hack) it will be huge.
