Probably scared of all the refund request.
I don’t believe it’s intentional. Simply bad internal comms + too much “official” people saying things.
I’d settle with one (1) official announcement per week and nothing in between. (not counting support talk)
Hope this current practice will change soon.
The silence or the bad communication is killing there company more then they think…
Yeah. I’m sure they’re aware of that.
This is what i got as reply on my pimax artisan order at aliexpress(while waiting on my pimax 8kx from the official pimax store)
So @pimax is this true?
Pimax is certainly aware that the scheme of announced and non-performed actions is not a recipe for success. The ambiguities or problems in connection with the late update are probably more fundamental than compliance with the time specified in the forum.
However, if the announcement of an update by Pimax is postponed without comment, the credibility and reliability of the essential information can be questioned even before the announcement.
Even if in the current situation everyone presumably understands any delays or uncertainties.
The fact that the delay in the update is not communicated in any way by Pimax still reveals elementary communication problems. Which, given the efforts made so far to improve communication, appear somewhat questionable and unnecessary with increasing time.
Let’s hope that the ambiguities at Pimax can be cleared up and that communication can soon be improved sustainably.
I think the people communicating with us in the forums are on a hierarchical level below the management or other channels and are fed the same bs as we are. So when they tell us an update is coming they themselves were told an update is coming. And then even they are left with no green light to publish new info and there we are. Gas lighted once again and I think this is what killed Matthew who was doing a stellar job in seeing things our way.
Same old song and dance. Pimax has learnt literally nothing. Everytime an announcement is announced it is delayed and we get absolutely no confirmation or update. Of course I’m sure everyone here remembers Pimax day 1 and how they missed their deadline by almost a week and went completely dark about it. Then again immediately after Pimax day 2 the entire company logged off the Pimax forums for days while things devolved into chaos and incorrect prices on the website went unaddressed for 4+ days leading to most likely thousands of support tickets being filed. Which still to this day are being sorted through.
I truly do hope Pimax employees and their families are safe and if they need to please dont come into work and risk infection just to try and minimize delays. I highly doubt any of us will crucify you for this and if someone does they most likely were going to find something to complain about regardless and shouldn’t be given the time of day.
But this situation, like literally every other Pimax problem was completely self made. STOP quoting actual days for a press release when you obviously arent going to release one on that day. You seem to think it’s not a big deal but outside the bubble of this forum you have a MAJOR credibility problem and are not recognized as anything but a scam to a large population of the VR community.
who was Matthew, what happened?
An ex-employee of Pimax who was in charge of several things especially on this forum, dealing with a crapload of messages everydays, private or public.
Then he suddently went away
Yea Matthew did a amazing job,he did help me a couple off times.
When i totaly had it with pimax ,then there was Matthew to save the day…
I’m drunk and my mother just passed away two days ago. And really, the delayed delays on this forum is the most stable thing I have in my life right now so cheers buddy’s! I’m having a blast reading about more delays because of the new plague instead of just Pimax being an interesting form of business.
In any case, let’s just pray the Gods of VR, which is Gods in essence, lean towards … f*cj it … cheers!
Sorry to hear All the best, cheers!
My condolences to you and your family
Sorry to hear
Cheers
My condolences on your loss.
I left China (Chengdu) four days ago, and from what I have seen it is impossible to predict when Pimax will get back on track again. People are encouraged to go back to work, but most prefer to stay home. Travelling is almost impossible, and running any major company is very difficult. Nobody knows how long it will be like this, it could be 2 weeks or 2 months. So I don’t think it would be possible for Pimax to predict anything about product availability at the moment.
As for the general fear and panic, and the people who are scared of catching the virus because they receive products from China, I suggest they read this:
Or listen to this:
There are lots of other things we should be more scared about
Yep there is what we can read on AliExpress and people wondering about infected packages :

So sorry to hear that. Take good care of yourself and your family and make her proud, cheers
Sorry to hear Pimel. Always hard to loose a parent. You have my condolences.
