I just installed the latest Pitool and downloaded the eyetracking runtime. How can I activate it?
You have to wait a bit longer for Pimax to release the next version of pitool . Apparently they are struggling with an issue with eye tracking support.
click aSeeVR text it will be run.
but I think it’s not working… lol
aSeeVRUnityCalibration stops quickly without any reaction.
It just came out.
Coverman: I don’t get service not ready. How do you run hat calibration tool?
task trey right click this icon and press “calibration”.
Service not ready goes away if you run the runtime from desktop. Calibration does not work for me either though.
I wait for the official announcement
Oh ok I hope you get it working soon.
Same issue here 2020
After installing PiTool, please reboot windows and reconnect the USB cable.
Then the aSeeVR installer started.
I just finished calibrating after dozens of attempts.
I noticed that the eye tracker sensor didn’t work in the normal position of my eyes, and it works when I step back a little bit.
The calibration went very fast, and the eye tracking test was fine.
But I don’t like the fact that I lose my FOV quite a bit.
I think the range of the eye tracker sensor is not that big.
What headset are you using?
Pimax Artisan~!
I also just installed Version 263 but no trace of eye tracking in the software with my 8K. I restarted the pc and also tried the upper and lower headset usb port. Device manager recognises something but I don’t get aSeeVR status message below the headset picture nor any installation started. There is also no icon in the tray.
How much FOV do you lose with the eye tracking? Can you use the ROV test tool here TESTHMD by knob2001
And compare difference?
Sorry, that’s impossible. Just to explain…
Looking away from the lens while looking at one end, the image becomes blurred and the lens pattern is visible.
I see it.
Well, we know that they have tested it in several games obtaining performance improvements between 25 to 50%, for sure they will soon explain us what we have to do.
I received the material from the homepage and installed aSeeVR, but it does not run.
When Eye Tracking is connected, the device displayed by the camera in Windows Device Manager is displayed, but the dedicated driver is not loaded.
Due to that problem, PItool does not recognize eye tracking, and aSeeVR does not recognize it.
Even if the USB is reconnected several times, the dedicated driver is not loaded.
In my opinion, to solve this, you will need to have an eye tracking driver file that can be installed manually.
In your Windows, automatic driver Update is enabled?
Only a question…
