I recently updated to the latest Windows 10 build 2004.
Why the hell do we have to find a way to enable the eye tracking on our own? Where is the manual? How could Pimax just throw us a pitool and explain nothing? So ridiculous lol
Uninstall aSeeVR that you downloaded from 7ivensun.
Restart your computer and make sure your HMD is turned off and the USB is disconnected.
Start up PiTool, connect the USB and turn on the HMD.
PiTool should now ask you to download and install aSeeVR through it.
That solved it for me.
Did you get a chance to try it out with a game?
Only game I know of that it should work with is Disassembly VR, and I donât have it and not really something that looks interesting to me so will probably not buy it just to try ET.
I have asked Pimax for the whack-a-mole game they used for demos earlier this year.
But if you know any game that might support it I would love to know.
I installed it like that but it does not work. The calbration sofware just hangs up.
You are not supposed to run the runtime from desktop, but through PiTool by pressing âService Not Ready, Launch aSeeVRâ
Make sure it isnât running before starting up PITool or having the HMD connected
In theory, any game, as long as you use the latest versions of nVidia drivers and you have an RTX 20xx.
I donât know if you should activate the DFR or FFR in Pitools.
Ahh yeah not talking about DFR but in-game usage.
I donât have access to a RTX card so canât try it.
Too bad, it would have been nice to see if it follows the eyes well or if the parts drawn with less quality bother you.
Yeah, Iâm tempted to get a RTX card just to know if I will be annoyed by it or not.
But then 3000 series is soon upon us, so it have to wait.
Maybe, it is weekend ahh, and this is only the beta version.
I tried that, but it doesnât work.
I tried it for over 7 hours today, but it is not recognized by Pitool.
Does eye tracking not work only in 8K?
(WhooshâŚ)
From what I gathered noone got it to actually work just yet. Typical pimax. Hey lets release a PiTool with the eye tracking functionality but lets not tell people how it works. Lets come up with a new PiTool that really works a couple months later.
I got it to work, so did other people in this thread and people in the Discord, so you gathered wrong.
But yeah releasing it without any instructions wasnât Pimax best moveâŚ
Doesnât seem that your ET is connected, âMobile VRâ isnât it, it is named âDroolon Pi1â
Make sure that you push in the ET USB hard, as it feels like it is connected before it is fully in.
As I said, When Eye Tracking is connected, the device displayed by the camera in Windows Device Manager is displayed, but the dedicated driver is not loaded.
I tried both the 8K top port and the bottom port.
I rebooted dozens of times, Even the 7 USB 3.0 ports have not been resolved.
As I said, to fix this you should have an eye tracking driver file that you can install manually.
Retrieved the installer from the temp files for you
But as PiTool doesnât detect your ET you will most likely still have issues as the ET NEEDS to be launched through PiTool and not desktop to work.
Just a thought, but do you have any program that tries to connect to the ET as a camera device, like Skype, as that will block PiTool from using it.
I think it will be solved only if there is a (*.inf) file.
Itâs 2am here⌠Iâm not energetic anymore. I will solve it later.
(Thank you for your thoughtfulness)
When it works - what does it do for you?
I got Droolon Pi1 in my device manager. I can launch it via Pitool. I can see red LEDs light up in my tracker. I just canât do anything in the calibration app if I launch it.
All I see is moving pupil to image center. Two green dots show up when it boots but disapear immediatly and never show up again.
