Everything up to date gpu drivers, Pitool . 91 not. 95, steamvr not beta…?

Did you have. 95 installed? I had (even without the pimax) uninstalled it yesterday and steamvr was a mess.
I was wondering why games ran like 45 fps, had to tune up the SS settimgs again. This with the Vive.

@Skyrimer I think reportwd nice clarity on VD in small FoV.

What settings are you using?

I typically use pitool at 1 to 1.25 & leave steam on auto res wirh per ap setting @100%. Then adjust in program settings.

When you switch Steamvr\Video to manual what does it reccommend?

@yanfeng might have some suggestions coming from i7 4790 with was it 1080 or 1080ti?

As weird as it might be your cpu could be a factor. Though your i7 4790k is stronger than my i5-6500. My upgrade to r7 2700x fixed a lot of video jaggies etc & doubled Steamvr Base res target from 16% in auto to 36% in Normal FoV at pitool 1.0 render.

imo cpu not strong enough for Vr paired with 2080 and DDR3 .
is your cpu or cpu showing higher usage than usual ?

I think it may be my glasses…i tried to look through them through the lenses and indeed seems clearer lul but i cant force it because it will scratch the lenses…arghhhh, i need the damn vr frame…

Does not mater much, still 1150 socket and DDR3.
i know its a good processor but Vr is very demanding.

  • WarRobotsVR (free & runs good)
  • Vox Machinae
  • BigScreen Beta (looks best in small) no inet atm
  • Vrchat (no inet)
  • SkyrimVR (No PP runs great no mods loaded)

Need to be home to list more & can’t test eith LHes & Controllers.
