very nice and solid rig, like your customized throttle with buttons panel… what is on this mini lcd screen on the right ?
my build is going to be more univeral as I also like car sims. Right now is only this SRS Power wind + Vive + AC, PC Cars 2 , IL 2 BoX - YouTube
but prosimu t1000 ( montion platform) and virplil are on the way… I’m going to disassemble my massage chair (arms) and combine it with the montion platform + hotas and wheel .

The mini LCD is an Asus Tinkerboard running Android on a 7 inch Raspberry Pi Touchscreen - all in a 3D printed mount and then a CNC cut panel on top. The switches there control power, volume and mute/sound standby. Here’s the video for the installation etc.
The motion platform should be cool - look forward to seeing some pics/video of that.

Voice Attack:
there are lots of paid ad-dons for Voice Attack from HCS: https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/
there is also a free Voice Attack vocal add-on called KICS - no longer being developed but the last version v4.1 is excellent can be downloaded here: GitHub - mwerle/KICS: Voice Pack for Elite Dangerous by Arflint - it also has pre made ED profile and a very simple way of binding your keys to VA’s profile as well… this video shows you how: KICS 4 Key Bindings - Free VoiceAttack Profile for Elite Dangerous - YouTube
I actually use that one and have done a demo of it. (3 screen video recording but demoing KICS Vs4 in voice attack): Elite Dangerous 3 screens 4k with voice attack - YouTube will show you the kinds of commands and response times as well as the ‘dutch’ accent (developers GF did the voice-overs)
combine this with a simple hotas setup like this thrustmaster t flight x for sale | eBay
…and you wont need to touch your keyboard anymore so the 4k/8k in VR will complete the immersion.
in all once the ED game is bought …the cost will be something like.
Voice Attack - $8 - (there is a free version but will only allow about 20 commands) paid version is unlimited commands.
HOTAS - approx $30
KICS Add-on - free
KICS Profile - free (i can even provide my one if you like… has additional commands for features in ED that were not released when KICS 4.1 came out… i.e. fighter commands, camera commands etc.
HMD - depends on unit… but assuming you have one already!

You should of seem my legs a chattering when i first fired it up ,it was almost flawless aprt from apair of inputs to the thc which were ± -+ instead of ++. — , what do you need i may be able to help you

i cant believe how cheap VA is ,i was looking for it in ED site but found it on steam like £8 is silly money for that omg i can talk to my ships computer ,isnt that right hal ,hal, what are you doing hal …nothing master Gary .

VA is great, ok, not magic but great.
Honestly find a lot better for making and executing macro’s than my g19 keyboard, which cost a lot more than VA.
Also you don’t have to use voice recognition, you can set it up to take button presses.
For instance I tested one that would tweak power settings in ED that responded to the dual stage trigger on my stick.
It worked flawlessly, except for in practice it turned out to be a lot less useful than just managing pips on my own.

I made the dirtiest most simple chair setup. All of yours put it to shame, but thought I’d post it anyway. I got the chair secondhand from someone leaving the country.

I plan to cut a little bit out of the wood at the side and file the corners when I can be bothered. But it really works great and I’m not breaking my back using the kotatsu table now

Fixed cable between the throttle and stick is a tiny bit annoying, I can unscrew the throttle but I tend to just climb in like a cockpit instead and try not to spin the chair round. Free exercise

Nice work and I see we have the same taste in construction materials. I would highly recommend getting a 3D printer as you have extrusions - I’ve printed so many custom items to attach to it I don’t know what I would have done without one.
Seeing as we got a slap on the wrist for “off topic” posting above I think I’ll start a new Cockpit/Flight gear thread…

Was a bit scared to try it due to the blacklevels of the 5K+. Played it from the beginning in VR with the oculus DK2, then vive and cv1.
Guys it’s awesome with the 5K+ holy cow! The cockpit is so sharp and it seems big! Would have traded in blacklevels for this fov and clarity any time!
