People might think there’s tech brand loyalty going on with all this fanboying, but…Nokia
Eh…we will see. I’ve yet to see anything from Pimax that suggests there are any changes going on. Pimax day was a disaster, from the almost 2 week delay with zero communication from them, to the eye tracking PR sh*tshow any positives that were announced were completely drowned out. These are the problems with Pimax, 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
Its true in time people tend to forget about previous mistakes from companies. But Pimax doesn’t give people any time to move on as every new turn they make comes with some sort of PR mistake.
Dont confuse me with someone just here to stir up sh*t either, I want this company to succeed just like everyone else. The more accepted they become the better support we as consumers will have.
Yeah fair points, time will tell. We’re willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but others, in the short term at least, may not
Completely agree with you guys. I really wonder how business is done in China. Is it this way everywhere or are we westerners just seeing the difference between our cultures too much?
Not sure it’s related to Pimax being a Chinese company. I worked for quite a few years at the London office of my company and the HQ is in Italy. At the start, when it was much smaller, things tended to be ‘dictated’ by Italy and there wasn’t much 2 way discussion, at least from the tech perspective.
But now things are bigger and we have offices in LA, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo amongst others, as well as merging other small companies in, and that doesn’t work any more. We had to change the model to be far more ‘interactive’, less based around the Italians being the bosses, and the culture being Italian-centric. When both your own staff and your company presence goes global, you have to adjust accordingly to new and different expectations…or run into trouble
