It is - killers are already engaging the unbelievers silently
Love the new slogan already, and the random quotation mark
LOL, not sure if thatās real? Where did you find it? Knowing pimax it could very well be real of course. In fact, I just found this on their website:
LOL quite funny too that space between IN and Novation
But on a serious note, youād think that now that they have a bunch of English speaking employees, somebody would actually take a look at their own website and fix things like this?
Are those real?
@PimaxUSA maybe you should go thru the marketing material before they release it to the public. I mean, from now on.
Ha yeah I nearly posted that one, at least it makes some vague sense as a marketing catchphrase, despite the erroneous space
The site is obviously still not QA checked by anyone in US or Europe
Well you wouldnāt get in the records for CS thats for sure
Youāve seen āDarker than Blackā on the XR?
Not hard to find these. How about thisā¦
How do I qualify for this? Do I need to wear my pants outside my trousers when ordering?
@PimaxVR these advertising slogans are quite bad with full of mistakes. And sometimes false information about specs etc.
Maybe better to fix this problem, potential customers are laughing.
You claim your product is for enthusiasts, but the ads are addressed to retarded kids.
I mean āhero exclusive pricingā seriouslyā¦
Pimax with weird wording strikes again. I lost count.
Joking aside, all a bit lost in translation. And probably Google translation at that.
If youāre going to have one global website and push Pimax PR, then the guys and girls who add the content / run the CMS (presume there is one behind this, or should be) ought to be confident with their English.
You could have separate front end sites per region, or even have one FE site with a CDN in front that pushes users to to the right language pages via IP geo-location, but not that practical for a small company with a limited budget. Best to go with the first option and have CMS users with the right skills
Itās a bit like
6D sound, well, itās technically the truth, itās one 4Ģ¶kĢ¶ Ģ¶dĢ¶iĢ¶sĢ¶pĢ¶lĢ¶aĢ¶yĢ¶ Ģ¶pĢ¶eĢ¶rĢ¶ Ģ¶eĢ¶yĢ¶eĢ¶ 3D sound per ear.
The entire VR community laughs at Pimax. Which only makes it harder for us actual users to get proper support from game developers. Pimax really needs to get their act together, them continuing to be the red headed step child in the VR community makes things worse for us. I mean just think about it, no one outside this forum even gave a crap about Pimax day. All the brilliant tech they are coming up with means nothing when you cant even bring Pimax up anywhere without getting tossed out of the conversation.
Yes, thatās sad but true.
How hard can it be to contract an expat to proof read this stuff. Either that or get an intern to work 3 days a week on PR material. There must be thousands living in Shanghai
Or, you know, us. The community, this forum. Iām certain there are many willing to help out for free.
They donāt have any serious global marketing and PR push yet, and thatās just as well. All these issues need to be ironed out first.
In the grand scheme of things, these issues are minor and easily fixed. Tweaking English text and having high QA standards over every aspect of the company visible to the public is relatively easy in comparison to designing and building cutting edge VR headsets from scratch.
So it is certainly good that the company is engineering-led and not marketing-led, that means there is substance here. But for a lot of people who are potential customers, pre-conceptions and image counts for a lot, so itās not something to be ignored either. You certainly donāt want people writing Pimax off as a joke before even looking at the specs of the kit.
Absolutely, myself included
This is it though, Pimax has already āPoisoned the wellā if you will. There brand is associated with quality control issues, bad software, distortions, and unprofessional communications which all add together to make Pimax seem sketchy and not a ārealā VR manufacturer.
We all see Pimax as a moderately successful kickstarter, I see comments like āat least we got our headsetsā but when will we start holding them to a higher standard? When will Pimax graduate from a kickstarter to an actual full fledged VR company?
Yes, but with tech thereās not much loyalty to brands, and people have short memories. They just have to consistently demonstrate from now on that everything is working well at the company, and keep doing it into the future. Kevin and co have been working pretty hard at that, but they always said itās not something that can be transformed overnight.
No one cares now if Amazon purchases had problems when they first opened. No one refuses to buy an iPhone because they still remember Apple degenerated into a laughable company that nearly went bust 15+ years ago etc etc
