No problem s here with the Sol Mod and PImax 8K. Using the BrainWarp Beta PiTools. Set PiTools Render to 1, FOV to Normal or Wide. Steam VR to 100% and it runs quite well.
Great to hear, canāt wait for my 5K+. Iāve got only a i7/4970k with a1080 (non TI) so I will give .103 a try, perhaps with 72Hz⦠Iāve still got a DK2 and have no problems with 75Hz. Iām also using the Content Manager with AC, so I hope everything will go wellā¦
Thank you for the guide, it really makes a big difference in the performance and visuals.
I found only one problem with this:
The brake lights on other cars are disabled when the ingame PP filters are deactivated. The only workaround I have been able to find is the āminimumā PP filter that can be downloaded here: Minimum PP Filter | RaceDepartment
As the name suggests, it has a minimal impact on performance, but restores the function of the brake lights on other cars. Does anybody know a better solution to this?
Has anything changed in your settings from that time, with recent pitool, brainwarp etc.?
Have finally received my 5k+ and will try to play with AC, steam and pitool settings tomorrow, need it as smooth as can be. Have 1080ti btw.
Cheers!
There is nothing to change , sharp picture & solid 90 fps with gtx 1080ti
I can recommed 72hz mode for other sim games which need PP ( like PC 2, IL 2, Dirt Rally)
highly recommending this 2 extra tracks with good details and partially 4k textures
Insane experience in my Pimax 5k plus with content manger + sol + lighting patch mods
That wasnāt very nice. I was just going to go to bed when you laid this on me. One lap with my Williams FW31 around both of these fantastic tracsk and I knew I was going to be up awhile. Great recommend Yata. THX
BTW have you tried Wiliams FW37 prepared by VRC Modding Team ?
love sound of the engine and visual quality , little tip: at setup you need go down with wheel assist up to 40 % becouse at default setting FFB is way too weak
I have, but I like their 7 speed myself. I spent about 3 years driving the Williams in IRacing because Williams had shared so much telemetry and other data and worked with Iracing closely.
Using IRacing as the template, I judge VRCās FW31ās handling around F1 tracks like Spa and Nürburgring to be a good match.
Both cars handle really nice.-
I know you guys love old vintage tracks and I love them too. But have you tried Shuto Revival Project? Itās an enourmous map that recreates the whole Shutoko Highway in Japan(the one that the Wangan Midnight games are based on). I used to drive this track with the Night mod(this was before SOL came out) in VR in my Rift a year ago, and the experience was justā¦gaspā¦ORGASMIC! I can only image what itās like in the Pimax.
Iām not a huge fan of city track in AC becouse gfx is a bit limited compared to PC2.
All city tracks looks amazing in PC2 like Azure, Monaco and so on.
However I cant even find link to download Shuto Highway. Checked their webpages and there is only option to become a patreon which I refuse to beā¦
May someone could explain me how to run asseto corsa in vr? Im totaly new. Project cars 2 is vr game and it launches ok, but this is just run on my monitor. And I dont have any vr controlers so I cant navigate in steam vr.Only have one base station and virtual desktop.
hi, go to assetto corsa settings and chose Oen Vr mode in videos.
to recenter Vr headset Ctrl/Space bar.
i strongly recomend using content manager, not necesary to run AC in Vr but makes the games sooo much better
Thanks, now it works. Also instaled those two mods. Cant say it is much better cause I didnt played this game earlier Still canāt find how to adjust my seat position in game.
on the right when in game (when in car) move your mise to the right of the screen, an app column should appear.
There you ll find some option, for the driver position click on the āhelmetā.
