Assetto Corsa Competizione Worse Performance in recent updates?

Anyone else here notice the recent updates since british DLC dropped and the latest hotfixes seem to have made performance drop on the 8k x? Others seem to report similar with other headsets too. And i didnt turn on the new contact shadows option and yet still had 70-75fps (not solid 75 like i had before) and with dropped frames and lower frametimes around 13-14ms.

I played with British DLC a week ago and performance for me was the same , solid 75 but havent check latest hotfix. I have been on a break from racing for a week or so.

nvidia have shiity driver this days , so maybe refresh driver

I used a different ini also.

r.TextureStreaming=0 0=is full loading texture, my 3090 uses 23.4 / 24 gb v ram
r.TextureStreaming=1 is standard settings

I’ll check this line. fpsVR didnt show more than 10.8-11gb of my 24 used and ive had it where i cranked pixel density to 120-125%, resolution at 90%, and it was at 95%+ gpu usage and 13ms frame times but still only 10-11gb vram used.

I will try this. How does it affect fps though?

I forgot to tell you my specs:
9900KS/3090 both overclocked, 32gb@4000, m.2 nvme, pimax 8k x
But i also have a motion rig and a ton of accessories lol.

Can you share your in-game settings, steamVR, and if you have nvidia CP settings that are different, can you share that also?
What fps/frametimes are you getting with your settings and how does it look?

What Size FOV Small, Normal?

I just tried your settings - what a world of difference. Amazing work.

Let me know what FOV you use. Im on Small and seems like its at 13ms 75fps with some fps drops if i keep it at 140 pixel density and 100 resolution

in nvida , use latency ultra, i use normal fov steady 75 fps, 4k native sharpness 300%

So it looks great on single player. I just hope it holds up on multiplayer.
For some reason I’ve noticed that the graphics looks worse during my multiplayer league race, even though AI racing should be harder on the graphics.

Thats insane that you can make the game use all 24gb of vram. I never thought it was possible to use that much in any game.
