Well we knew 8n tge community i believe prior to kickstarter that tracking v2.0 was the plan if released. Controllers? Sure knuckle style was an evolution as the presumed dead LG Ultragear was going to also use Vive styled wands as well. And we know that the pimax prototype wand was broken during a demo.
So the plan was there & simply evolved.
As i said , Iām happy were getting what weāre getting . But I have to admit this was the one point that always bothered me. If they would have just said āknuckles is not a finished product and we have no plans as of yet to release 2.0 tracking or knuckles controllersā Im sure alot of that kickstarter money could have gone to better use, and that we would probably all have lighthouses and controllers now.
I for one only ordered the full package because I thought that somehow they were going to release before valve. (Naive I know)
If i go back into my post history you can see me asking on the forum how it was possible that they were developing knuckles before they spec was finalized , I thought they may be working with valve or something.
To make things even funnier (not really funny) I saw a thread on here about how devs with actual knuckles controllers are finding that they dont work. I swear if I get pimax controllers and in game I see vive wands āgeorge is gettin upset! 
ā (i would expect them to be detected as knuckles or at the very least as themselves , mixed reality controller styles)
anyway rant over. I think we can all agree that calling an audible and putting company $$ on the line to model a product after another companies unfinished early prototype was a BAD move.
on that topic do you believe it would be best for pimax to wait until valve releases knuckles and then ditch two separate controller idea(dumb idea by the way) and model something that actually resembles the look and functionality of the knuckles?
or at that point just concede the fact that the knuckles would be better at that point and give us a refund on the controllers if they donāt think they can match the knuckles?
haha. That would be bad. If that happens and they put up a spreadsheet with our addresses , do me a favor and sue them AFTER I get my headset:sweat_smile:

We know they were aiming for Tracking v2.0 since before Kickstarter. Knuckle like controllers was an evolution as Kickstarter progressed as asked & requested. Lol
As for what you see in game will depend on tge game dev. As most in game does not show steamcontroller but an Xbox gamepad. 
Pimax controllers like Steam & logitech are there own flavor. Hopefully pimax controllers have enough cross over function or with Valveās slowness might end up being prefered.

Before reading this post, I can honestly say I could not recommend any Pimax headset to any future VR consumer that wants a āplug and playā headset. I had the Pimax 4K and had many issues to iron out before I was able to actually play a game.
Then after reading most ALL of the posts here regarding hardware and software issues with the 8K and 5K+, and the vague responses from Pimax, and communication barriers from Pimax, I still could not recommend Pimax to anyone.
And as for getting ābroken Englishā responses to issues and vague responses and āhard to understandā responsesā¦ This topic really stands out as to what Pimax is capable of.
So after reading this topic, I feel there might be some hope for the average Joe consumer enjoying Pimax products.
I feel that this is the kind of professionalism the community here was looking for. Keep up the good work @Sean.Huang

Thatās strange. I replied to 4 of those backer survey emails already but my backer number is still listed as āNeed backer to reply emailā. How many more do I need to reply to?

Iāve responded to multiple surveys now, once back at the beginning of December and now again just a few days ago.

I think that spreadsheet is just very inaccurate, I canāt think of any other reason why all of us would be reporting the same thing.
Iām also wondering why this thread wasnāt an announcement on Kickstarterā¦ seeing as Pimax is claiming that all backer orders will be fulfilled by the end of the month; seems like something to share with everyone and not just the forum community.

That āUpdated by 1/7/2019ā tag on the spreadsheet seems pretty pointless if it isnāt accurate.
It is pretty depressing to think that we missed our slot in the queue because they somehow couldnāt capture any of the many responses weāve sent in to their questionnaires.
Iāve been very patient about all the delays so far, but having my number skipped because of this is finally pushing my buttons.
