Fired it up today on my 8kX but frametimes hover around 15ms no matter what.
If i turn on smart smoothing in pitools frametimes are reduced to close 10ms but periodic spices in the 20ies ruins the experience.
Anyone runs it fluently somehow?

I believe ambient occlusion is the big one, you’ve basically got to turn it off for it to be playable. Very smooth for me after turning it off
When i tried it there were bad UI glitches above small FOV even with PP, is that still the case?

didn´t see that. game needs pp on. tried it on small and normal. difference was not big. just was in the menu so far.
While I haven’t tried this particular game in VR, I did try Borderlands 3 in VR (via WorpX). If you are still needing a framerate increase, try reducing shadow quality. That helps in a lot of games.

Yes, sorry. I meant to include that info, so I’ve updated my post. It wasn’t really playable at the settings I tested. I didn’t try to optimize my experience. This was more of a quick test to see if the game would run.
If you want better performance then look at some YouTube video’s for some ini tweaks. With the ini tweaks the game becomes more realistic. You could also download the mancana dlc HD graphics from borderlands 2.
Could not find any videos about .ini tweaks of the VR version. Also none about an HD graphics dlc for it.

Just jumped in and checked with fpsVR: framerate is limited to 60 fps.

and left and right index controller is swapped.

If you want the mancana dlc HD graphics then you have to download borderlands 2 with all the dlc and then install the game. Then go to install directory and open dlc folder. Copy Mancana and put it in the borderlands 2 vr dlc folder. Then go the Mancana folder then combat then config. Open WillowDlc delete everything and put this inside: [DlcAlwaysLoadedPackages]

I can not test this because I don’t have a pimax 5kplus anymore but can you open the game with the pitool or revive maby the controller work then.
funny thing: sometimes the controllers are fine. so i have to check in menu. and if wrong simply restart…
Tried .ini tweaks.
Videos off works fine.
frame smoothing off or vsync off does not work. I still have a 60fps limit.
tried to disable vsync in the nvidia driver options. does not help.
any ideas? maybe startup commands? need to go now, can test later.

works! just need to find the audio setting now because when minimized it looses focus.

Nice just tell us oh the game looks in the 8kx I can’t wait anymore! I sold my my 5k plus 8 month ago and I am waiting for my upgraded 8kx What I get soon I hope.

game looks and plays amazing!!! Even on 3000+ vertical pixels (pp on) and ingame all maxed out i still have headroom. must try with fxaa on, because with off i still see some aliasing. not a big thing…
