Anyone else paused big games like Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR and waiting to be played on the Pimax 8k?

I honestly, i did. Great games tho, felt really immersed with Vive/Rift but god damn that high resolution and big fov of the Pimax 8k. I kinda regret it that i paused them but i know it will be worth it once my headset arrives.

Oh man, shit is gonna get intense like never before…

Yep, did exactly this with Skyrim. My original plan was to play Fallout 4 on Pimax too but when the delays came I didn‘t manage to hold back.

So my starting line up for the 8K will be Skyrim, Elite D., PJC2.

Same here, but now i don’t have the time to really “play” all these games anyway…

I look forward to seeing your play tests on games like Dirt Rally and Elite Dangerous, once the NDA is lifted. I hope that’s soon!

Oh man, just put money aside and build that playseat, you bet your ass that racing in Pimax 8k will be out of this world, mind blowing…

I actually paused and not even started fully playing many games , because I want to enjoy them with :

  1. pimax 8k fov

  2. gloves instead of normal controllers

  3. use some closer to reality locomotion method , like either “walk in place” or " kat walk mini" or similar locomotion methods , different than clicking a button on the controller to move in vr

  4. probably not possible for these games without games updates , but I wish I could play the games with the hardlight vest or the teslasuit

I do not want to spoil the games by playing them without these cool gadgets , despite I am dying to play them. I want to play them as close as possible to the best vr enjoyment possible

Oh man…Teslasuit…, imagine feeling the fire from a dragon burning on your skin XD, the cuts from swords and oh man, i do REALLY looking forward for that suit.

I am still waiting for the hardlight suit to be shipped to me.

I do not think it is supported by most of the vr games :frowning:

This is the problem with all these vr hardware gadgets , including most probably the teslasuit.

I am dying to play a game as u just described!

Imagine that my 1st game in life was on a commodore vic 20 . It was a cirque game with a “man” (made of 5 straight lines for a body and a point for a head ) jumping up and down on a moving straight line…

I did put a lot of games on hold but decided not to as if I have to wait too long the games might feel a bit stale.
I’m playing fo4 & ai now.
Racing & flight Sims are definitely on hold though. I’m also waiting on yaw vr motion simulator for these, which I also backed on Kickstarter.
Its looking like they may be ready around the same time if all goes well :grinning:

You backed the yaw vr?

I am waiting for this one to back myself

I am wondering how do they compare

you should try out natural locomotion. Natural Locomotion on Steam

on top of what it is now, they are working in ability to use trackers or some kind of other cheaper non tracking sensor like a pedometer to track jogging on the spot.

Wait is hardlight already available for buying?

Yes. I did.
I was waiting for feel three but decided it is too big.
Yaw vr can easily fit in my stair cupboard & my Mrs won’t kill me lol.
She wouldn’t let me back kat walk mini as again it is too big to keep moving & store.
Yaw vr is shaping up nicely now. They have a backrest, vibration on the way, joystick holders either side, steering wheel mount & some great shell designs. We had a backer visit them at a show a week or 2 ago & he came away very impressed

I have vive trackers to put on the feet.
Looking forward that “natural locomotion” adds vive trackers support .

I tried the openvr walkinplace driver with the trackers.

It needs some optimization, but it is already cool

I ordered the walkovr sensors (5 sensors) , but they will hopefully be shipped to me in December. I am curious about those compared to the vive trackers .
Also I am curious about the katwalk mini and if I can find a way to mod it so I do not lose some of the room scale benefits

nod nod, have been using it in skyrim, holy hell its fun haha.

I hear you. I have the same issues with space and wife too , as you too lol

Do u know if the yaw vr and the feel three have the same 3 dof?

Also, do u think that a wheel and pedals would fit comfortably or the space in the yaw vr is too small?

I was tempeted to get the yaw vr, but then I saw the feel three and I started wondering if it is better than the yaw vr. What are your thoughts ?
