Anyone else paused big games like Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR and waiting to be played on the Pimax 8k?

Yes. It is and it is cheaper than the original price

The walkinplace driver?

:joy:
I stopped anything VR last December

I basically paused using the vive in general. But thats more due to high temperatures than anticipation. Playing beat saber at 30+° can get disgusting. :x

Wait do you mean you have natural locomotion and the walk in place driver is working?
afaik the walk in place wasn’t ready yet

The Pimax 8K will be my first 6dof headset, I currently only have a Pimax 4K and I’m very anxious to finally play all the games that do room scale and tracked controllers.

My current solution is using a Leap Motion for controllers (very buggy) and a Kinect 360 for room scale (meh).
I tried a Vive before at some venue so I know what it is I’m missing out on so I’m super stoked for the 8K to arrive but then still the wait for the controllers and base stations, sigh

Not with natural locomotion. I am talking about the openvr driver /walk in place driver

I have used the walkinplace driver with vive trackers in fo4vr. It was not perfect when I tried but it worked . It was not working though with the vr patch for alien :frowning:
Maybe the walkinplace driver would work if we play alien using vorpx. I did not try it

Yeah, I gave in and bought NaLo, only a few hours ago, and tried it with Skyrim, and have to admit I am very impressed with how well it turned out to work for me, with nothing more than just natural height and intensity armswinging – to the degree I’m beginning to doubt bringing one’s feet into the loop would add all that much to the basic locomoting functionality, after all. Speed and direction comes out perfectly ok, even when just using one hand. Somehow it totally changes how I take in the world and look around me, when I’m no longer quite so obviously gliding around on motorised rollerskates, whilst thumbwrestling the controllers,

Gameshops must write for teslasuit, you know? Its not a 1-2-3. If tesla-suits wants their suits to be operational, they need to work on their PR.

Nice goal. Very nice… It certainly has some very awesome options.

I’m holding out on fully doing the Fallout 4 dlc (though I did get quite into nuka world) and I’ve never played Skyrim before until I started in the VR so I don’t feel bad playing it now as there will still be plenty to explore once the 8k arrives. Looking forward to alien isolation in 8k.

it puts you in there for sure.

Tired and tried agin to play ED on the vive ,can’t any more waiting for the 8k to play both that and PCARS2 although if fanetec comes out with the podium series before the 8k I’ll have to try it out.

Good Work Hard Work
Thanks for makeing progress .

I didn’t just pause them. I’m going to replay.

Tryed stopping but just cant do it fo4 is just awsome and on a plus note i never played skyrim

Yeah the voiceover is terrible. I don’t think marketing is their strong point. There are a lot more vids on their Kickstarter updates of them using vives etc… the one in the vids is still a prototype though & they have put mounting points on the sides now for brackets to fit hotas, throttle & shifter. Also they have backrest & seatbelts on the way.
Maybe I’ll get a feelthree one day but i would need a seriously big vr space, so will be waiting for the kids to move out first lol

I never played Skyrim… my young brother played years ago and took him like 200-300hr to do all the quest dungeons etc etc… i remember watch him play while i was focused on competitive CS:GO.
I have the Nintendo Switch with a brand new Skyrim. BUT… never played. im waiting to go on full VR with Pimax
