About the Pimax 5K+ Black dots Replacement

Yes it called impatient-lakemia :frowning:. The longer i wait for something the more impatient i become it very serious. You know you have it when you experience these kind of symptoms.

1.tears
2.laying on the floor while stomping on the floor and flinging your arms around while screaming
3.whining
4. In some cases going on the particular site and complain

The best thing we can to is spread the word about how great pimax is to us. I can’t think of one other company going to this length without any legal action enforcing it.

First rate customer service thank you. I can’t imagine htc doing anything similar!! Pimax deserves to do well. Pass the word.

This is unexpected and welcome news! Many users will be happy. :+1:

Pimax has had numerous issues, with communication, QA, etc., but actions like this prove that you are trying VERY hard to please your customers. That is absolutely great! I think this will help your brand significantly.

Of course, this doesn’t affect me directly, since I will be getting an 8K. Hopefully, I won’t have to wait too much longer; according to the revised spreadsheet, my headset has been built, but not yet left the factory.

Unfortunately, those of us with backer numbers in the 3k region will still have to wait for them to be produced.

Using the spreadsheet, and the fact that only 12 of the ‘unconfirmed’ information backers are set to receive 8k units, and that there is a shortfall of ~1080 units between currently produced and desired (see ‘next shipment’ thread), then backtracking ~1000 units from the bottom of the spreadsheet would indicate that only the 8k units for backers around backer number 1700 have been produced so far.

I wonder if 8k backers will get a similar treatment if an improved scalar chip/panel/combination can be found?

I think it’s unlikely. We know the final specs and were given the choice of a 5K+ instead.

Honestly, I think I’d be happiest with an 8K, but Matthew’s offer of a 5K+ with immediate shipping sounds tempting.

We want the 8K X 202

Absolutely Neal, I was a bit surprised as well regarding the black dot issue. Awesome support!

Actually I have forgotten about the black dots after some usage. It is several days ago that it attracted my attention again because people are talking about it so much, and then it becomes more and more difficult for me to ignore it.

Anyway it’s great move for Pimax to do the unconditional replacement. Thank you so much for the effort!

I am so happy about this. It’s the only reason why I have been fighting between the 5K+ and 8K. Thank you. Glad I swapped to 5K+

Yes, but it wasn’t present on the “old” panels

Samsung odyssey+ also has that black blur layer if focus on it, but still not annoy like the black dot.
Although the “no film layer” can make more clarity, but we can’t avoid to not focus on the black dot.

Wow back to an 8k mate.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone swap as many times as you did :stuck_out_tongue:
Last I heard you were stickin with the 5k.

Honestly, I think I’d be happiest with an 8K, but Matthew’s offer of a 5K+ with immediate shipping sounds tempting.

eyy there it is :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
just teasin man, its funny :stuck_out_tongue:
