Guessing a variety of things.

The fact some can see the black dot pattern and others don’t could be focus related. The distance from lenses to screen and from eyes to lenses are inconsistent from factory due to different foam thickness, glue amount, who knows what else. Plus eyes focus better in different planes. Go figure. I hope i don’t see them, if i do ill try to adjust the hmd position and foam so they go in a different focal plane

I doubt you’d understand, too much is involved. The simplest two things worth mentioning is the sickness of the foam and even plastic are different. The rest is optics.
I must have missed the official press release, damn it. The statement that one person has been informed at a closed doors event is amusing, are we supposed to form a whisper network or something?
I no longer care, Pimax’s company motto should be Half Measures Are Us, because I can’t think of a lot the company is actually good at, spit and duct tape is the rule. Great job at alienating your core customer base, I can’t imagine how that could backfire selling a niche product in a niche market. Was nice knowing you.

Guess all the reviews from testers in Sept/Oct. But I can see how you might have missed it. In which case you were content to wait for what was released.
Not to worry they are doing much better than what appears.
Thanks for admitting that Pimax couldn’t be bothered to supply information to backers themselves. Even better job on the 5K BE.
I never listen to the company that produces the product anyway, I’m much more interested in the independent reviews. I still expect basic specs from the company though

Admittedly true, especially with Pimax and their corporate culture of excellence. Whatever I hope can live with the display, black dots or not. I don’t expect it to last longer than 9 months or 2000 hours if my 4k is any kind of measure and then replace it.
Guess the Berlin meetup for backers and all other Backer meetups was not updating folks. Or giving links to Testers evaluation in Kickstarter update. Or posting here was not updating backers.
So you should stop trying to steer things opposite to what it is.

Indeed which is why Backer & Tester reviews are key as they cover more than just what is good.

That is unfortunate on your p4k as mine is still going strong since near the end if Dec 2016. But the p4k did have it’s manufacturing hiccups for some.
Thanks for offering me the option to spend money on travel and accomodation the receive news from Pimax. As far as I heard your event in Japan was the bomb, glad that the three amigos were there to save your ass.
It takes a certain kind of predisposition to do your job, you’re a good fit for Pimax.
Who Said you needed to travel? I didn’t go and read countless reviews from all meetups. 
Now if you wanted your own direct review than yes you would need to go. Plus 3 musketeers often omits Dartanger(sp?).
The 3 youtubers were not at the Japan meetup and this was prior to the Berlin meetup(obviously things improved between meetups like pitool version 4 example)

True ture, then I will also trust their review of what it was like working together with Pimax.
Indeed language was a key component in the difficulties & later reveals if came sooner would have made things easier. But hindsight is almost always 20/20. Foresight more often is short.
