About the lens center blur issue

Hello
I just received the goggles and I can not believe I have the center blur issue. In fact, it is worse with one eye than with the other. I thought that by mid-August it would be resolved and that they would no longer sell that consignment of goggles, but I was wrong. The serial number is half erased, but it starts by 100. Please, I would need a solution to this problem. I would not want to disassemble the glasses myself to fix it since I have read that some have not been able to make them work again. Thank you very much.

That sounds weird to me, where did you buy it ? And are you sure it’s the center blur issue ? Not an IPD issue ? What IPD setting are you using ? AFAIK there was only a small batch that had this issue and it was shipped a long time ago.

Bought at Gearbest and test whit ProjectCars, With the car stopped, distance banner to reach the corner is clear round the center but it gets blur crossing it. Cannot be an IPD Issue due to tests are done with an eye close. Sorry for my English

Hi @xivato

Could you take a photo of serial number label that is on the helmet and then send it to support@pimaxvr.com ? I’m glad to help you.

So what advantage does this have, I’m a noob here and just got a Pimax 4K. Spent days getting it up and running. Install/uninstall many times. I noticed at one point without the Piplay started my Pimax connected and said it was a Rift by windows, I’m not sure if this is good or bad as trying to emulate a Rift is what its all about, and if Windows recognised it as a Rift. My lenses are also blurred in the centre like there are ridges in vertical lines more so on the right eye. I’m also experiencing serious stuttering when watching 360 videos through Piplay. I also have to adjust the IPD all the way to the left at 55. I really want this product to work and I saved hard to buy this as my first VR experience. I have not tried the rift or Vive so cant compare. I’m very tech savy after working in IT and the Gaming Industry many years so have been experimenting with Oculus software but not sure what I’m doin as I’m new to the scene. I need educating which is why I joined this forum. Sooo what this to be developed more with better GUI and Network connection, the servers are too slow at downloading and frequently cut me off. Ive experimented with the render setting both in Steam VR and Piplay. Can anyone educate me on any of this just so the penny drops. Thanks all.

Okay Pros

4k Screen. Accepts 1440p & 1080p inputs then upscales to 4k

  • Results in virtually no sde (screen door effect)
    -No godrays (camera flare effect)

Steam & Oculus compatability

Cons
LCD
-60 fps
-longer response time resulting in ghosting

Depending on perspective
-no motion controllers (3rd party options avail)
-No positiinal tracking (3rd party options avail)

Software can be tricky to get installed but, is still under development & each version has numerous improvements & devs are active with community.

Windows installs the oculus drivers & i think they are used somewhat even though really dated.
