Hi, Yes at last it works!
90Hz is great! I waited a long time for this to work.
Steam VR looks incredible
Everything looks so clear,it’s like a new headset :eyes:

Doesn’t work on 1080ti. After the firmware, 8KX simply does not turn on, it is not detected in PiTool.

The firmware number in DFU does not change after flashing.

Sadly it didnt work for me, previous january nvidia driver + experimental fw worked well in 90Hz.

Tracking is working, detects headset but black screen in headset.

Clean reinstall of latest driver, re-bar is enabled.
Asus TUF Gaming OC RTX 3090, re-bar bios.
3 1080p screens via evga dp-splitter + 8KX.

Will try a full DDU cleanup now, or it is back to reflashing old firmware + driver and pray it will work.

that was known. 30xx and some 20xx RTX only

Will try the TRex later… hope it will works

@PimaxQuorra only wrote about 90Hz on 30 ** series and 2080ti, and the latest AMD GPUs.
But it is not written that this firmware is released only for the latest GPUs (30xx, 2080ti and latest AMD).

By the way, I have v2.1.255.298 installed and working fine.
That is, this release has some other differences and was released only for the latest GPUs?
Someone please clarify this moment.

3090 FTW3 Ultra

Did not take on 466.55 nor 471.41 driver.

Constant red light on HMD with no display when selecting 90hz.

Next move will be DDU/471.41 reinstall.

I had this one before: P2_RELEASE_8KX_M298_t20210706102848_r97afdca_laptop_exclude
And that worked fine.

Flashed to this new one Engineer Test. It also works fine!
It seems there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hope you can help the ones with trouble.

DDU clean, black screen
Removed all other monitors black screen
Tried all 3 DP connections, black screen

Back to old non-rebar driver and see if this fw works there or if I have to reflash…

How are the power cables from the PSU to your GPU connected?
One daisy-chain cable, or multiple single-cables to each 8-pin?
I had a daisy-chain cable (2x 8pin on one cable) at first, but the card got way too hot (like boiling) while I was testing 90hz, and pimax 8kx blacked out multiple times. I thought it could be related to amps or something. So I changed to single cables. I actually got 500 more 3dmark points after I did that, so it may be important to keep in mind. But I am no expert.
Mind you, doing this did NOT fix the black screen issue for me. Only the latest two FW did.

Hello,

Sorry that we didn’t mentioned clearly in the statement.
It only works with latest GPUs (Nvidia 30series and 2080TI, and latest AMD)
Users are reported it works with 6800 and 6900.

Worked good for me. nvidia 3090, intel 9920x 64 gb ram. 471.41 driver.

Ok, it seems like it’s time to upgrade the graphics card

Tried moving Dp, various orders of disconnecting, reconnecting, restarting service, restarting pc… downgraded fw and 10600 error, tried a few things, updated fw again back to 10934 error… so now done a ticket :expressionless:

PiTool Version: 271

90Hz flashes to black sporadically.
75Hz works fine as with previous versions.
