Do you still have this problem?
Yes, better but still there.
I think I need different setting for each panel.
But it’s harder to perceive with only one eye, and I don’t have time right now to tweak or even play with my 8K.
This also happened to you in previous versions of Pitools?
No, only the last beta.
Do you know what parameter they modified?
They have their own tool to do that, not sure I can share anything about that.
But I ve asked if it could be integrated to PiTool in a futur release and they said they may do that.
left and right screen flicker
The lines have actually returned, so I need to readjust it again. He gave me the console commands to do it though, so I don’t need help anymore.
Thank you very much, they are the same values that are modifying the hmd of another colleague with the same problem, I was just curious.
What was the default value of your headset and which one works best for you?
Idk, I need to re-adjust it again.
it would be great if Pimax could explain exactly what this parameter is and how it works
hello
I have the same issue. I thought it was sde, but no. It only appears when I move my head
best regards
You can send private to @Doman.Chen, and he can resolving this issue quickly.
I have already done a session with Chen, but I can not say that the problem is solved, I can not find a value that eliminates these lines. Chen said that the best value is 7, while the program only allows even values (6 or 8, never 7 ). I asked for explanations, he confirmed seven! :-/
That’s why I was saying that knowing what these lines are and what this parameter does could be useful.
A more technical explanation of “put 7” (in a program that doesn’t admit 7 as value)
Even values work for me, I have to set it to 4.
Is it for your 5K or 8K?
I just got my 8K today and am seeing the horizontal lines (using pitool 111)
Will this be fixed in the next Pitool?
Is there a way to check if all 8k owners have the same panels?
Some people are telling us how great their 8k is, but as far as I am concerned my $200 Oculus Go has a better image quality…
Congrats on finally receiving!
Horizontal lines is not Normal; looks like horizontal scanlines? I would see about filing a ticket or ask about console code to see uf you can adjust.
@Sjef teardown unfortunately. Or some kind of poke tool if exists.
