This, it’s thinner than that and I see them only when moving my head.
They do affect the general quality of the image, at first I confused them with SDE.
Do you guys see them in your 8k? (you have to be in front of a bright scene to see them and move your head up and down)
I have the same issue. Literally, the exact same experience as you. I thought it was sde, but no. It only appears when I move my head. I couldn’t get a picture, as it’s pretty hard to see through a camera. Thankfully, they agreed to send me a replacement cable anyway!
@Doman.Chen Those are the lines I was talking about Doman
I’ve also seen the horizontal lines problem on my 8K. I’ve also seen the sparkles, black/white flashing, the weird split screen effect, and a frozen pattern of horizontal stripes. It seems to get worse, the longer I play, but is sometimes fixed (for a while) when I firmly push the cable connector into the headset. In my case, it’s clear that most of these issues are cable-related.
The lines ended up being fixed by adjusting some normally inaccessible setting. He remote connected and used a program to let me adjust something regarding flicker.
@Doman.Chen, I got the same scanlines moving my head in 8K. Since I mostly use 5K+, I’m not in a hurry to fix it, but I’d like to know more about this issue. Do you think there will be a future solution to avoids remote assistance?
I have just tried two Pimax 8Ks which, depending on the angle of view, showed horizontal and sometimes diagonal lines of different clarity.
(With version .109) This doesn’t happend with one Pimax 5K+.
Any ideas?
I see. I think its the same problem.
does this setting change something for the 5k+ too? the sde is only normal in the middle of the view and like 40% top and bottom looks a bit like dithering
