Yeah except 8kX users paid for shipping of a loan unit…or the equivalent of an 8k to keep the loan unit. The amount of money provided by 8kX is signifcantly more than the other backer types. There is a difference between $100 worth of coupon vs $400 worth of coupon…
Thats a lot more money I would not have had to spend had I could have just backed the 8k and gotten the same result. So however 8k users feel ripped off …the 8KX users will feel 3-4 times as ripped off

Pimax did deliver a sub-optimal 8K with a screen so pathetic that the 5k+ performs better with less pixels.
8K backers have a “8K” headset that performs worse than a 5k while costing more

That would be great, those who want would pay for the difference so Pimax would be fine
and 60-120$ is not crazy compared to the pricing of a vr-headset and a computer
there would still be upscaling therefore blurryness on the 8k, but it would be likely to solve many issues
Hard to tell if it’s actually doable (depends on the availability of 4kscreens etc), but If pimax is serious about the 8K, they might want to look into this
