The Kickstarter says it is compatible with vive controllers, but the vive controllers need to connect to the vive head mounted display. Does the pimax head mounted display connect to the vive controllers wirelessly?
If not, you can use the Steam USB wireless dongles to connect both the Vive controllers to your PC. Or the wireless dongles included with Vive trackers. I have tried it and it works good.
Oh cool! Thank you @SweViver ! I watch every video you post! Do you know if you need one wireless dongles, or two (one per vive wand)?
Thanks man, I appreciate it
U need 2 dongles for 2 controllers, just like the Trackers.
They’ve confirmed it’s directly compatible with Vive controllers, no dongle needed.
Hi SweViver, I love your videos and also am a subscriber thanks for the information I did not know that about the dongles, see my post in this category about the possibility of Pimax offering a hmd+controllers. I know you would like the thumbstick as well after watching your Quake 2 video. Cheers!
They say the controllers connect directly to the hmd via bluetooth?
@deletedpimaxrep1 didn’t say exactly how the vive controllers connect but she did say that the connection method was integrated into the HMD.

If it uses the same idea as the steam controller dongle. They have probably built the dongle in like the steam link.
Which then of course its not bluetooth but propietry wireless like xbox wireless controllers & wireless logitech.
how specifically do you make them connect? a step by step would help. thanks
