Wifi PSVR Aim Controller to use in any psvr game that does not natively support the aim controller

I was able to make a Wifi PSVR Aim Controller to use in any psvr game that does not natively support the aim controller

This is the ps4/psvr version of RE7 projected on my pc monitor.

If anyone is interested i can explain more in detail how it can be done.

In general , i have used the same hardware and methods posted here

Hello Guys,

I’m from Germany and i was looking for a solution to use the ps aim controller in every game on the ps without vr. Example: Cod ww2.
Is there any possibility to get it done?
Or can i use your method only for VR Games on the ps4?
I admit, that i havent the knowledge for all that stuff but i’m willing to learn. I cant understand why the aim controller doesnt work for any not vr game…(ps camera provided, of course)
Hopefully there is a silver lining on the horizon.

Hi. It can be done/adapted somehow for non vr games.

Maybe there are also other ways, but the way I know, is by using the method I explained above and then use a device like “Titan two” that it would allow you to control the ps4/5 with any controller connected to that device.

It requires you though to invest in buying the hardware I mentioned + the titan two.

The cinemizer headtracking is a mouse emulator. U move that device and the mouse moves.

The Titan two, allows to control the right joystick of a gamepad, using the mouse.

Hence you would be able to control the aim/right cotroller’s joystick, using the cinemizer headtracking that you can mount on the ps aim controller. This method is not giving the ps aim controller a tracking in space capabilities via external tracking cameras.

For the rest of the buttons of the ps aim controller, “titan two” would allow you to combine the buttons on the ps aim controller , with the button on the ps gamepad.

It can be done wired or wirelessly.

It is a little bit tedious just because you go through different hardware and software combined together, but it is possible to do.

Apart the way I do, if I were you, I would reach out to titan two developers and community and see if anyone else have other methods to suggest. There might be much cheaper ways to achieve this.

There is a cheaper way to make a custom controller based on arduino, for example, rather than using the psaim controller.

Thanks a lot Marco for your answer.
At First i think is the best way to doing like you said.

I was wondering whether it would be possible to program an emulator to simulate the aim controller as the “normal” controller of the Ps4?

Sorry if I seem a little naive - don’t understand too much about it.

The aim controller is pretty good and I feel the haptics increase immersion extremely when playing VR. Playing non-VR games with it must also be extremely fun. I dont know why Sony does not want that? This would make the Aim Controller interesting for all other gamers and not only for owner of the VR System.

I think nobody will buy the PSVR only for the reason “aim controller”…

Hi. You are welcome!

Well, the cheapest and most probably best way to do this, is via creating an arduino custom controller that would be shaped and with most every function as of the psaim

On this custom controller , you would have an accelerometer that controls the right joystick movements and is used for emulating the aim in game and that you would mount on the tip of the custom gamepad, same as the position of the ball on the psaim. The rest on the custom controller would be made of buttons to press for the othr buttons, and the left joystick.

Then you would need an adapter as the Titan Two that would make the custom controller work on any console game

https://www.consoletuner.com/products/titan-two/

that would allow to use this custom arduino based gamepad , on any console of your pleasure and on pc.

This requires though some knowledge/tinkering for creating the custom controller.

If you are not able to create the custom controller using an arduino, then you maybe could be able to use anyway the psaim on amy console, still using the “titan two” adapter.

Maybe you could open an account to the forum or discord

https://www.consoletuner.com/forum/index.php?sid=c9fc477edee9c2b44fb669719597654d

and ask if anyone else have tried using the psaim in games that do not support natively the psaim, by using “titan two”.

It is most probably possible. You would just need a way to emulate the aim in game , which is the move of the right joystick of the gamepad, by the use of a sensor that emulates mouse, like the cinemizer headtracking that I have mentioned or something similar to that.

I have used a similar method myself using the old cronusmax plus.

Again, the psaim is not tracked by any external camera as it happens for games that natively support the device. This is an emulation so might not be a same exact experience you would get with native support of the controller in game

Hi @Matchbox .

We have been developing a dual system locomotion/hand controller .
It can do what you were asking me about
