Seriously Pimax? I am so disappointed in you. I downgraded from my 8K because you said I could use the downgrade to get the hand tracking. Now you say it’s too expensive and I would have to pay extra for it meaning I wouldn’t have downgraded had I known. I backed initially because eye tracking was free and now that is too expensive for you to offer for free. Now I also find out in order to move to the Index controllers you are only giving a discount of $100 and can’t use any coupons on it? F the backers apparently. You gave us promises you couldn’t keep and constantly lied and misled us. You paid people to tell us the 5K+ was better when the 8K had many issues which are apparently now fixed. I am so pissed off with this company and this program. I am about to file a Kickstarter claim at this point. This should not be how a company should do business. You don’t actually seem to care about the people who made you at all
I know the upgrade plans are confusing, but I’m sure there is oneto suit your needs honestly. I’d put a ticket in with support to get help on this. Posting an angry rant with threats on the forums is not the best way to get helped mate.
@Scy0846 I agree things could be better: plans has changed and not all the promises are fulfilled or even going to be.
Maybe you could clean up your post+topic a bit and if you’re done with your rant I’ll close this thread before it gets out of hand. Would you agree that’d be the best thing to do?

I want my coupons to use, but instead they relied to my support ticket saying I can use Plan A/C where I LOSE all my stretchgoals!
So they are refusing to give up our stretchgoals now to force up to accept their “deal” and lose them all?!
Err… since when is the 8K better than the 5K+ ? I had both and sold of the 5K+ because I owned that one while the 8K is a loaner, but I would have preferred the 5K+ to be honest. And if they managed to improve the 8K more than the 5K+, so be it (and great that they are trying) but at the time of the reviews the 5K+ had the edge. So you are angry because you wanted Pimax to tell you to trust them that they would solve all the issues ? Well, I wouldn’t have bet my money on that at the time and wouldn’t do so today, even if they may have managed to do so in the past months with the 8K, if what you say is true.
Don’t get too excited, just ignore their plans and wait until reviews of real users are in. By the time they may have come down with the price, and you wouldn’t get much of a discount anyhow, so there is not much “forcing” your hand to accept the deal anyhow. Just do the math and compare what you get when you use an upgrade path to what you get if you just purchase one via regular order at some stage. Your credit note from the 8K->5K+ swap should remain valid anyhow.
In case you missed it, there was a Kickstarter update #49 that had instructions to receive the downgrade coupon.

Pimax have made a complete mess of this, it’s hard to keep track of everything now!
No mention on if you can use it on headsets, though technically “items” should include headsets.

What I meant to say is that if one buys an 8KX via a regular non-backer order I don’t see many downsides to that as compared to using an upgrade plan - or to phrase it differently, I don’t see Pimax gifting backers much at all but rather just offering to swap stretchgoals & parts of pledges at (or even below) their true value.

Thanks for your input. It just felt that way. This entire thing is a mess. I do apologize for getting everyone in an uproar. I am very frustrated. I expected if I downgraded I would have hand and eye tracking and they made it seem like that. It was very misleading.
